LAG finder!

iv been spending hours going over my addons trying to find wich ones are causing different laggs at different times in the game. its a pain.

someone should create a lag finder that finds out what addon is causing high loadings! if there is one already please let me know!

(currently i have lag at inventory change, ppl joining/leaving raid, weapon swapping, wich sux alot cus im warlock.)

I would start by looking at your saved variables and seeing which files are the largest. Those that are huge are probably causing the lag/long load times.

I would then check that you have the latest versions. Inventory lag is probably caused by an old version of an all in one mod. Try EngBags. Raid stuff I can't help you with seeing as most people require CT_Raid. Weapon Swapping is normal because your system has to load the graphic.

any mod that deals with the chat window causes huge overhead, as it parses everything in all chat windows even if the text is hidden.

if you have more than one chat addon, try disabling all but one, then re-enable them untill you find which one is causing the large lagspikes.


I have been looking for a debugging addon that would parse variables in real time in-game but havent found one.

TekSupport (http://wowace.com/files/tekSupport/tekSupport-r13480.zip) should do what you are looking for... not sure if it works without FuBar but try it.
