Hey, im in a guild who have just really started on AQ20, we have been doing ZG for the past couple of months and have taken down hakkar only once so far, but the bat/snake/spider/raptor are all easy enough, have troubles on tiger/panther at times, but usually they go down.. so we have the skills and the commitment, but when it comes to AQ everything turns sour...

Kurinaxx is simple, we can get through him easy as pie, but then as soon as the first group of mobs come through the door from starting the rajaxx instance, we just collapse, what we are trying to do is off-tank most of the flying dudes and take them out one at a time, the healers are basically stuck healing the NPCS and the raid aswell.. we have like 2 priests, 2-3 druids, and 3 pallys, and we seem to be OK with heals.. (prolly could do better but anyway)

we just dont seem to have the dps to take down everything fast enough, and the 2nd set of mobs run in and then we just get slaughtered..
has anyone else had this similar problem and found away around it? i would love a strat on how to kill this boss properly, as we are having so much difficulty and its getting really bad for the guilds morale!

plz send ur helps :D

Just a quick search, all those threads have some info on the fight.

From what I've been told, the second wave will only come once the NPCs have been out of combat for 30 seconds. We fight them all right next to where the NPCs stand so that they can pick up their own targets.

Crowd control as many things as you can, Fear, root, Frost nova work great. Kill the needlers first, they do most of the damage and die pretty easy, then the officer.

Have one of your warriors drag an enemy warrior away from the group, keep him alive until the end, then use it to give you a chance to regen some mana before the next wave. Have the DPS bandage up while you slowly take down the last target. Judgements are brilliant for this if you're alliance, let just the mana users wand it to death to up their mana. Make sure they understand the 5 second rule (You starts to regen mana at the original level 5 second after you cast your last spell)

There are times when it bugs and 2 waves might come together, there's nothing you can do about that appart from start over again.

Try your best to keep it moving at your own speed, Crowd control is probably the most important part of the encounter.
Aslong as you keep the boss NPC alive, taking on the boss at the end is pretty easy.

I'm told that this is down to members of the raid standing on the rocks around the area in which this fight occurs. If everyone stays on the sand, I believe the encounter is fine.

fearbomb the mobs when they get inside ur fighting range, needlers first down, then warriors

root, nova etc all works so use it!

its not hard at all, best part of the fight is rajaxx himself, with a nice aoe thunderclap knockback. Or as our GL calls it , sunderclaps. Great stuff he cant say th :)

he has sunderfury

I've never seen it bug. I wasn't around during our progression runs, though; I was just told to "stay off the rocks or it bugs the encounter" my first time in there.

ok, we tried it last night...

ended up not dps'ing enough at the first wave, and the 2nd wave came in when we werent prepared and it all went to hell.. :(

2nd time we got the first and 2nd waves down quite easy and then it bugged and nothing came at all, so we tried quickly pulling the next wave, and the 4th wave came half-way through that battle and wiped us all! we did have 1 mage standing on the rocks though >< dammit! even after telling them over and over to stay on the damn sand! i feel we could have done it then..

ill let u all know how we do next time we do it

Rooting the last mob by a druid for as long as possible gives you some time to regen mana. And making sure all npc's survive till end. Those are the most important aspects I guess.

I've never seen it bug. I wasn't around during our progression runs, though; I was just told to "stay off the rocks or it bugs the encounter" my first time in there.

I've never seen as many bugs as with Rajaxx. No mobs, two waves of mobs at once, no npc's, mobs who don't start to walk to us. Lately however all goes smooth.

My guild brought Rajaxx down for the first time last night, WOOT!

it's all about crowd control and mana efficency. Our fight lasted over 10 minutes. I ate some nightfin soup before hand, and it ran out on wave 6.

We have 2 tanks, MT on the named, and MA killing the adds. All the adds are fearbombed (or other forms of CC). The MA goes around killing the adds being assisted by all the dps. We have dedicated healers on the NPCs keeping them alive.

Rajaxx hits HARDHARDHARDHARD. You want the general tanking him. He's a great tank, just keep him healed.

Don't bother healing people other than the MT and the general when fighting Rajaxx. Rajaxx will toss you back and take 50% of your current HP. He won't kill you until you're really really low. Have everyone stand back and bandage.

Oh yeah and if you see the NPCs get bored, cry out over vent to drag a mob over to them.

Oh one last thing... if you die during the battle, there's a brief brief period between waves where you're out of combat. Use this time to run back into the instance and rejoin the battle.

Make sure everyone is friendly with the Cenarion Circle to get the Aura of Command Buff which acts like a permanent renew as long as you are in range of Andorov.

Also you can use amplify magic to increase the effect of the aura too. Just watch out for the AOE lightning.

We basically tank the named, let the Friendlies pick up mobs and AOE the rest.

friendly with CC helps a lot... and you can fear them into other packs on accident so don't just fear bomb recklessly.

So my guild figured out how to run back in between waves. As long as the named boss goes down and there's still another mob up from the wave, people can run back in. So kill all the mobs but 2: The named and one more. Kill the named and get the npc's interested in the last mob. Yell over vent to run back in.

If you miss the timing on the run back in, you need to back up about 10 ft. Back up until your feet are on sand and run in again. If you don't, you won't trigger the entrance.
