Just started playing 2 days ago, lvl 7 Troll Hunter.

I can't seem to use my bow. It's in my task bar and in the right slot on my character sheet (I think anyway). Bow's been repaired, plenty of arrows, arrows are in the ammo slot.

I'm sure it's something totally simple that I'm not getting yet. Help please?

Also, any suggestions for an online resource to look this sort of stuff up?

Hit P, go to the general tab and move the shoot icon into your quick action bar. Click that and you'll shoot your foes.

Thanks.

And the forums are great but I hate asking seemingly stupid questions.

Ask it nicely and even simple questions will get good responses here

As Valas said; make sure you have your Shoot Icon on the task bar as opposed to your bow icon from your equipment slots (they look the same)

Also as a hunter you should have a few new shot types, serpent sting or concussive I think at least. You should move these icons to your task bar as well. Once you fire a sting or concussive shot (generally a good opener) your autoshot should take over on it's own. No need to keep hitting the shoot button, hitting it will actually turn it off if it is already engaged.

Congrats on your new hunter and welcome to WOW!!!

Hunters should have an Autoshot Icon, not a Shoot Icon.
