Not in the Beta my self but I found this jewelcrafting guide on a wow-forum. Can it be confirmed by anyone in the beta?

Some things that looks fake to me is that there is no such thing as a large mojo (I think) and no emerald (huge emerald tho).

Looks pretty believable to me - it says Flask of Mojo (which does exist) not large mojo.

Its possible they meant huge emerald, or they are adding extra gems for jewelcrafting anyway.

Maybe someone in BC Beta can say if this looks right to them?

Ny wife wants to take this up (typical huh? ) so I'd better start shopping before prices get insane

I thought it was about ore not bars. Maybe someone made it up to have people smelt their ores to bars so his ores become worth more.

Besides, aren't you supposed to make those stones to socket armours? I would never level to 300 without making those, they should be worth a lot.

These looks to be the components needed for the rings, necklaces and trinkets, none of the jewels used in socketing. <my speculation>

Well, from what I've heard, Socketing dosen't start till at least after 300

I can only assume that since you cant get socketed items in azeroth, you cant get the socket jewles there either, so the last 3 posts seem to be along the right lines.

300+ will be about gems, and the gems come from ore in outland. Its probabaly a point at which you "specialise" in a for of gem cutting, like they're touting for alchemy and tailoring.

These are just educated guesses from the stuff i've read - will gladly be proved different.

socketed items seem to be level 60+ only loot from new areas(not just outland , caverns of time too remember)

What is wrong with them ?

I'd love a complete shoppinglist pre-tbc :-)

Here come 2 new questions:

1) A few of u say that socketed items and gems to fit into socketed items start off at 300 (Outland and Caverns of time). Prospecting, as I understand it, is a way to to get gems for socketed items. Correct? If it is correct can anyone explain this picture http://vnmedia.ign.com/screenshots/wow/43837005.jpg
(Source: WoW Vault article (http://wowvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Columns.Detail&id=171))
This pictures shows that you can get prospecting at level 5 (skill 20)

2) Anyone seen if any of the current factions like Argent Dawn and Zandalar tribes will offer Jewelcrafting recipes?

(Sorry if the spelling is bad... English is not my first language)

Prospecting is used to get Gems out of ore. The gems found are the same that you sometimes find when you mine.

That is from Copper Ore you get Tigerseyes Shadowgems and Malacites.

I've gathered a lot of these ingredients and stored them on mules now, and done some more research.

This is a spreadsheet, if you look on the recipes, a lot of these "to make" stuff are listed 20-25 skill points after they come available. Are the recipes still orange at the times you're told to make them so you're guaranteed a skill-up?

Gems can be found in ores too... but from 1-300 these gems will only be useable to create rings, trinkets, etc. As far as i know... Correct me if i am wrong! :D

Most off the confusing is that the word "Gems" means two different things.
1. The gems you can find while you mine, in chests and with the new Prospecting; Like Tigerseye, Malachite, Opals etc..

And

2. The gems you make with Jewelcrafting at higher lvls (300+) that is used in the socketing system. These "gems" really need a different name, it would make things alot clearer.
