Since you can't bid on your own items in the neutral Auction Houses, is there any way I can transfer gold from my horde char to my alliance char?
Post an auction with a high buyout on your main in Tanaris, switch to your Ally alt and buy it.

Actually, that won't work unless you have 2 separate accounts Rorr. The auction house doesn't allow you to bid on stuff posted by an alt on the same account.
You just need a trustworthy friend to post the item for you War.

Or like I did, find someone you trust who needs the opposite. I "transferred" gold to my horde alt by giving someone gold on alliance side who gave the same amount to my horde alt. Works easier for me and saves time for both of you :)

I have two accounts, so what I do is 2-box and send things back and forth via neutral AH. Mind you I have been buying cheap alliance epics and transferring them to my horde char alot lately. Of course there is high risk in sending items this way but if your just sending money the only loss you will see is the AH cut.

I did that once. The person doing the transfer sent me one, and only one, letter asking if I bought his item. I felt so guilty I sent him the item. He was very surprised and thanked me.
I just can’t do something like that when I know it wrong, even if it is allowed by game rules.

So you wouldn't intentionally try to ruin someone else's gameplay and claim that doing so is within the rules so they should qq? I salute you!

I'm on a PvP server, outnumbered by horde. I've effectively cost some alliance conspiritor some time and effort to supply his horde ally.
Oh, and it's an auction house. Not Western Union.

A lot of people play this way on PvP servers.
PvP = griefing/ganking doing anything you can as long as its within the rules. If anyone complains the offender just says "pvp server".
For most if it isn't against the rules then it isn't wrong. That is the reason you have all these different rules.
I won't equate it to society, that is another argument altogether.

You've obviously got a strong oppinion about PvP that i'm not going to change. My idea of griefing and yours are very different.
A PvP server only lets you create characters of one particular faction (as you'll know)... There is supposed to be an 'us vs them' environment, so when you have Alliance and Horde characters transfering items, that's going against the idea behind the server.
And hell... I hate the idea that someone who won a roll against me has just ended up sending it to his horde buddy, only to use it against me in the future.

Funny you say that. Blizzard has specifically made it so Horde and Allicance cannot comunicate, trade, or otherwise share things directly, especially with characters owned by the same player (human being).
The auction house trade game is sorta of an exploit around this, but allowed by game rules, with the inherent risk involved (someone snagging your item).
So who's really wrong? The played exploiting Blizzards rules, or the one making a quick buy on the AH?
