Ok, so I got my account "closed because" of:
As a result, this account will no longer be able to access any aspect of World of Warcraft. This action has been taken in accordance with Section 3, Paragraph C [Rules Related to Game Play] of the Terms of Use (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html) and our game policies (http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowgm/?id=agm01712p).
Um..... can they do that? all I did was get a character leveled quickly for some mid lvl range.
any suggestions? i sent in a petition email requesting my account unban

Yes, they can do that. What you did was against the agreement you made with them, when you created your account and now you're SOL.
About the only thing you can do is buy a new game and create a new account and start over and keep your nose clean this time.

Yeah, this is true. If they feel that closing your account will somehow benefit the essence of wow, they will close out your account.
Even if you purchase a power leveling service WITHOUT botting, you will still get banned. This is because Blizzard does not want you to share your password. If you told your sister your password, Blizzard will ban you. If you told your best friend who saved your life, Blizzard will ban you.
The only way you can play WoW again is to purchase a new account.

I feel that's a better way of putting it.

So what exactly did you do??
I wanna make sure to not do that in the future.
Don't....tempt....anybody.....midnitemyst.
This seems like a thinly veiled attempt to get infos on powerlevelling. Read the Terms of agreements....follow that and you are already 80% safe. The rest is luck I guess ^^

Wanna bet that shortly some guy with too much money and free time, will sue Blizzard for closing his account without having actual proof that he did something wrong.
As a result, it is possible that laws will apear that will force the "Presumption of innocence" unless prooven otherwise also in the virtual world.
This would be possible since any agreepent that contains rules that go against the low, is considered invalid.
At least in theory...

There is one exception about sharing an account (and presumably the password) that is explicitly outlined in the ToS tho. If the owner of the account is an adult they may share the account with one (1) dependant minor in their household below a certain age. That's pretty much the only exception tho. Technically even spouses have to get their own.

Gold in World of Warcraft has a real exchange value with the US Dollar.. Which makes it for all intents and purposes a real currency. This gives items and accounts in WoW a real US Dollar value and generally seizure of assets without proof is frowned upon.(Unless drugs, terrorism, or witches are involved.. Oh.. Nevermind about witches that one is out of style with the government)
You get what you deserve. Sucker.

Actually, iirc (and to put it very simplistically), official exchange rates are determined by central banks of countries, by the purchase or sale of blocks of currency held by them. Whether the black market offers five times the amount of foreign currency in exchange for the local currency has no bearing upon the official exchange rate.
Said companies are essentially the Black market, because Blizzard has ruled the sale of ingame gold for real world currency a breach of contract. So the official exchange rate is 0 gold for 0 dollars. Hence, why the varying companies claim to only be selling the time spent to gather said material as opposed to the materials themselves.
So, even if you were to sue, you're basing it off of Black Market prices, and in addition, you're still in breach of contract. Chances of you getting a sympathetic judge are minimal at best.

You get what you deserve. Sucker. With all due respect, Baal, I think he knows that by now. I don't know if you realize this, but flaming is as much against the forum rules as posting links to a gold selling or powerleveling website. Granted, the punishment of the latter is generally a bit more severe, but that does not mean you are free to break the first rule. This post is just asking for trouble and therefore totally unnecessary.
