Hi all;
I so much enjoyed Faeroon's post about the mage/priest/warlock debate that I have decided to post my own. The answers supplied to him were both well thought out and well written. Hoping that some of you can supply the same to me.
My Dilemma
I have recently started playing again on a new server. After experimenting for some time with several classes, I have come up with a few classes that I enjoy playing. These include:
Warrior - enjoy playing, but not so happy about the dependency on healers. If I were more social in game this would be less of a problem, but...
Paladin - Have very much enjoyed playing, but am concerned about usefulness in later instances.
Druid - Again, have very much enjoyed playing, but noticed that I got my arse handed to me on a platter at level 19 in WSG. I know it does get better with cat form, but am wondering if the persistant rumours about druids being Pvp weak are true.
Priest - Mixed feelings here. The helpful nature of the priest enables to get over some of my social shyness in the game (I know Im contributing something). I have read that Shadow Priests can be very good in Pvp, but at this point (at level 18) I have some misgivings about the viability of Pvp with this character. It seems to me, he isnt all that strong.
The Complicating Factor
My son has started to play with me on the new server. Its been a blast. He has started a warrior. However, his play time is limited, so I will need to play one character with him and another for myself. I currently have a rogue levelling with him. Our reasoning for a rogue warrior was for Pvp, however we will still need to level them and I'm concerned about the lack of healing in this duo for PVE.
The Question
Which makes the best duo for my son who has the warrior? This duo is primarily designed to excel at pvp, but will need to be viable in Pve:
Warrior/Rogue
Warrior/Druid
Warrior/Paladin
Warrior/Priest
Thanks for any and all responses!
