What to do if you get gank-jumped? (Warlock , lvl30)

Once again it's Hillsbrad Time... you run around like a
headless chicken, trying to avoid (as a member of the Horde)
the occasional Alliance onslaught, while questing/grinding.

I don't want to whine about how imba this class is or how
this class has to be nerfed; nope, as a Warlock I would like
to know what you do, when you get raped by 2 destealthing rogues?
Besides dying... anyone?

I'm seriously thinking about pulling the dustsheets from my
priest - maybe I shoudl try to finally get shadowform and melt
some faces. Maybe then there won't be the imminent threat of
getting raped out of the blue.

I really love my warlock but right now I'm sick of dot'ing and
dying - but who isn't from time to time... :wink:



So, what would you say? Stick with the warlock and try to get
the hang of how to parry those alliance attacks or should I
just put on shadowform and go off hunting?

Haven't played my SPriest in a long time.. can't remember how
pve was with him - any experience post-lvl30?

@lvl42 i think you get deathcoil.

having succy out you can seduce one than deathcoil/fear than DoT one.

but this always works on paper... :(

i am a new lock, but what i would do:

fear one of the two, then( having a pvp pet out) deal with the other and hope you can handle the other one.
The one thing i have learned in my short time being a Lock is that you really have to be aware of what is going on around you, then you will be able to take on everything :) Except the lvl ?? that gank you.
I had a fight with a lvl 19 druid( i was lvl 17) and i won. It took a hell of a lot of time, they tend to heal... but i did it.

I am really conviced of the fact that if you hit lvl60 you will be able to beat every other class(just as my 53 mage did) but you have to be a much better player than with a mage. My oppinion, plz dont hate me for saying what i think.

Have a PvP pet out if you walk around in a contested area. Dont ever use a VW if you dont want to get WTFPWNED! i you do get WTFPWNED live with it.... i know i do.

I always have my Succ out, grinding/questin with her is so
much faster than with the VW. But I got jumped by NE rogue 37
and NE rogue 33 (me being 29...) - there's not much one can
do in such a situation, right?

Right now I'm thinking about respeccing from mainly affliction
to nearly full destruction. I miss Shadowburn and would really
like to see how well Conflagrate works ;)


And believe me: I'm used to getting ganked ;) How I love those
death-fests in STV or Hillsbrad... but I try to give some love back
to those ganking bastards. Killed a ne hunter in STV 13 times with
my last warlock.. he kept coming, who am I to be blamed for his
stupidity :rolleyes:

First of all you werent "raped" ( i hate this term, stupid children with no concept of this foulness must have "slipped" this into the mainstream language)

Best thing to do is to quest somewhere else, stv and hillsbrad are gankspots galore, for both sides.

You could call for help, but most of the time those calls go unanswered.

Sorry about "getting raped".. all the slang you get confronted with on the
boards sometimes slips in. Thinking of the horrible things that are done to
women and then picking it for WoW.. just tasteless. Sorry about that :(

I have a lvl 40 warlock (hence my name), and seriously...the only thing you can do is hope you remembered to put that soul stone back on. If two rogues get you from behind it's over. Period. If one rogue gets you from behind you have a chance to live and burn him if you get your fear off, or seduce if your Succy is out. One rogue is tough enough to get off your back once he's there though, especially if he's a really good one that can keep you stunned, but two? Ha...

Yep, I guess that sums it up nicely:

If one gets a jump on me, there's the possibility I survive.
Two rogues - I'm toast :P

No need to whine for nerf, I've killed and have been killed by
enough rogues/[fill in class here] that I know it all depends
on the guy/girl behind the character. If he's good: death.
If he's not that good/has a bad day: gets killed.


My problem right now is, that I have played so many classes
that I can't decide which one to keep. WL is my favorite so
far but I'm not the most patient person...

Roommate plays a hunter and a shaman. Sometimes I help him
push some lvls and I like the hunter, I even like to the
soon-to-be-healer shaman...

Ah... how I would love to play my priest ^^ But not
with holy at the end of the game...



Anyone with the same problem? Or is it just me ranting?

I play a warlock and I agree that there is no need to nerf rogues. Just to demonstrate, flip the situation. It would be an amazing rogue that could take down two warlocks by himself.
