I made a PVE hunter and priest over the summer but never played any BGs or duels on the server. I have recently made an undead priest on a PVP server and have worked him to level 27 in bit over a week running quests and instances. Now, I have a few questions for experienced PVP players.

1. What is the best way to level on a PVP server? (quests, instance runs, BGs...) and is there a order to when to use them? I was reading about a trinket reward for fear prevention or removal that horde can get easily, but no idea where that is.

2. What are the accepted PVP rules of behavior, if there are any? Open season all the time, within certain levels, leave questors alone, body camping...

3. What are the best Horde instances to do from level 27+?

4. Any other basic advice for a fairly new player? (what mods are good? keep seeing map coordinates in chat, what mod gives them?)

Thanks for any comments, suggestions, or advice.

Welcome to the wonderful nad amazingly stressful world of PVP!

1. Lvling on a PvP server really is no different then PVE. As you are fighting mobs, just be sure to be moving the camera around and looking over your shoulder a lot! There is ganking and killing while you are lvling, but if a certain area gets to intense, just quest somewhere else. For every lvl range, there are several places you can be.

2. PvP rules? It is as you said, open season! By rolling on a PvP server, you are saying to everyone else essentially "Bring it". The rest is personal choice of how much of a "bad guy" you want to be. Many argue it is war, so all is fair, but ganking a lvl25 with your lvl55 is considered by many as rude, bad form, whatever. If you see someone questing and want to leave them alone, great . . . but there are no set rules. Nothing saying you can't wave to them to let them know they can quest in piece, then jump them later! :rolleyes:

3. Once you hit the 30's, you will be running the same instances as the alliance. Uldaman lower 30's, Scarlet Monastary 35 - 40, Zul' Farrak and Mauradan (sp?) upper 40's etc

4. There are a lot of good mods and everyone has there own preference. Checkout worldofwar's mod site at http://ui.worldofwar.net. I would suggest looking into the packages of mods others have put together and then customize one with some others that you like. Keep in mind, that when the expansion comes out all these mods are not going to work until the authors recode them.

Hope that helps!

The trinket that you are asking about is Insignia of the Horde. You can get it by getting enough honor to reach rank 2 then buying it from the Quartermaster in Org (1g). At your level I would suggest running Black Fathom Deeps in Ashenvale. There is some decent cloth/caster gear that drops there.

Uldaman = Gnomeregan I am guessing. Real Uldaman is probably 40+.

Mauradon = a bit higher than Zul'Farrak, prolly 48+.

At around 38+ or a bit higher, you can also do Razorfen Downs, aka RFD, a dungeon in the Barrens, Horde-ish territory. Nice loots. RFD's lil sister dungeon is Razorfen Kraul, aka RFK, lvl 27+ (or so) - just next door to RFD
