As I am wondering how everyone controls their toons in the BGs and for PvE stuff. I use the WASD keys to run around with all the time. I have noticed that in BGs I have a lot less manuverability than everyone else, I am constantly getting ran circles around. Also I dont know how everyone else uses their abilities and stuff because I use the same hand that I steer with most of the time except for like numbers 6 thru = I will use my right hand.
I know you can also steer with the arrow keys or the numpad or the mouse with the scroll button but I don't know which way wuld be best for being able to manuver, like run around people and jump and stuff.

It may merely be that you (like me) use a few movements, while other use many....
My son is a fanatic about BG's, and he is quite good...But his hands and fingers are constantly moving, various keys, rotating via the mouse, jumping, etc.
And, I am less versatile, moving, less jumping, haven't mastered rotating with the mouse, etc. I use the mouse and keyboard relatively simultaneously, but not nearly to the extent that my son does.

I use keys ESDF and I remapped other actions to the keys around these, namely: QWRTY, AGH, ZXCVB. It's much more comfortable. For example you can press QAZ with your little finger in the middle of any movement. Same you can press CVB with you thumb while moving.
It takes a lot of practice though. In the beginning, when I changed the keys, it was horrible, I wasn't able to kill anybody. But now, I don't feel like running in circles while everybody else does :)

Use the mouse to turn/run.
If you don't, I can guarantee that ev0l rogue getting continuous backstabs on you.

When I first started playing, i used my mouse to do all my moving, and used my fingers for hotkeys (just like in diablo2)... at around level 35 or 40 I finally realized that this was severely disadvantaging my movement... especially in melee vs melee (i was a shaman), when it is crucial that you be facing your opponent at all times. The mouse can turn very quickly, but *NOT* while moving. Sometimes you want to turn, sometimes you want to move, sometimes you want to do both, and, yes, sometimes you want to move backwards, which my mouse can't do! So i began to use W and A for moving, mouse for turning, and still hot-keying most of my abilities (using some numbers and some letters that were close to W A S D so i dont have to move my hand very far).
Now i kinda switch between mouse and keys, i cant really explain when I use which, its become second nature for me so i dont even think about it (except when my mouse hand starts to hurt!)

IMO, you need to invest in a Nostromo Speedpad n52...
Basically, it is a 14 button mini-keypad that sits under your left hand. This allows you to use your mouse for some things like targeting and click some of the less used skill/spell buttons.
It allows you to map the 1-0 keys to the keys on the speed pad. It also has a d-pad under where your thumb rests to control the movement. Basically, once i have it set up for WoW, I never have to move my hands off of the mouse or speedpad... unless i am trying to open the char window or pvp (h) window, which i obviously do not map to a key.
I suggest you look into it... and see where you can buy one. I would not enjoy playing nearly as much if i needed to constantly move my hands...
It helps to pwn in bgs too because of the speed and ability to straffe in a circle (because you can use the thumb pad to control x,y movement while using the mouse to control where the char is looking with right mouse held down).

Learn to use the q and e buttons liberally or whatever you have your left and right strafe buttons mapped. Strafing is huge in pvp for any class, if they are running circles around you its because they are strafing and you aren't.
Learning how to strafe rather than go backwards will make you more moblie as backing up is slower to get away from someone whereas strafing basically does the same thing but is quicker.

Which is why I don't play a melee class. My finger dexterity simply sucks and I am reduced to playing classes taking potshots at others :(
