Hello to all the members of ui.worldofwar.net,

My name is Tyler (aka Master Nabo), and I am an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am currently part of a University level research project studying Computer Gaming and IT Fluency, specifically how people go about making/learning/teaching themselves how to make mods for popular games.

What I am looking for are any developers of WoW Mods, be it as simple as a hello world UI mod to developers on larger scale projects such as ArcHUD, to do an interview. Don't be intimidated and discount any little Mod as being not worth an interview, any knowledge of WoW UI/Mod developments qualify you for the interview.

If you would be interested in an interview, please reply to this thread, PM me (Master Nabo) or if you wish discuss via e-mail, PM me first.

Project specific details can be discussed if you wish to do an interview, such as the means for the interview, time, what questions I will ask, privacy issues, how this data will be used, etc, I just don't want to overkill the information posted here.

The interview would most likely, be done via e-mail/Ventrilo/AIM/Webconference or some other means that use a PC to interview (I am really flexible with this).

I can't wait to hear back from you, and if you are not interested, thank you for your time and keep playing World of Warcraft and making awesome mods, because personally I love all the mods I use and cannot imagine gaming without them.

Requests like this should be cleared through the forum moderators before posting. You might want to shoot a PM/Email off before someone comes along with the ban stick (although I doubt this particular post would be a problem).

With all the new activity on the forums due to the recent release of the WoW 2.0.1 patch, I'd like to bring this project's attention to those mod creators/enthusiasts about my study on Computer Gaming and IT Fluency.

If you are:
-A Mod creator who is willing to tell me about your project
-A WoW Player who is just getting into creating mods
-Working to update a mod to 2.0.1 and want to discuss the difficulties you are having with updating your mods

Feel free to PST me here on the forums or leave a post here.

And thank you again to all who have participated in my project so far, you have been a great help.
