Is this ability not as valuable as it used to be?

I just learned it last night and spent a while in trade channel trying to sell an xmute, the best offer I got was 2g... what gives?? Don't people still make Lionheart helms, Titanic leggings, Sulfuras etc?

There are a lot more alchemists than there use to be ... there is less gold in the economy because of all the farmers that were banned... and consumerism is slowing down in preparation for the expansion.

You dont sell it in the trade channel.

You buy the cheapest arcane crystal you can (my server 19-20g) then transmute it and put it back on the AH for cheaper than the cheapest person (around 25-30g depending on the day).

Easy 5-10g per 48 hours.

The key to making money on the transmute is the cost of Arcane Crystals. I look for them around 16-18. That way I make a lot if the Arcanite market is tight (28-30) but still a decent amount if there is good supply (22-25)

Arcanite Transmutes go for about 4g apiece right now. The funniest part of itall, is, the Arcane Crystals go for ~30g, and the Arcanite Bars go for about ~25g. How does that even make sense?

And no, its not because of Naxx. We already underwent that fiasco the month it came out... -.-
