I was thinking about Arena PVP. I still don't have solid plans for a group/class makeup, and I'm not sure if I want to focus of 2v2 or whatever.

But I was thinking about some obvious mismatches...for instance Warlock+Felhunter vs. Mage, or Warrior vs. Rogue. But if your class owns 1 class, there's really only a 1 in 8 chance that you'll get that matchup.

Which class do you think has the best shot versus the widest variety of opponents?

Playing my warlock I tend to have trouble versus Hunters, Warriors, Undead, and Priests. When I win versus the other classes, I usually win big. But there are an awful lot of Hunters, Warriors, and Undead. It makes me lean toward playing my priest in the Arena.

There is no 1v1 arena. All the class combinations from 2v2 on out can win vs any other team.

Shadow Priest + Mage/Lock FTW.

Seriously.

Seriously, a pair of holy shockadins with heaps of +dmg pwn arenas from what I have seen. There is a google video of a pair of them. Double bubble with repectable burst dmg means one of your opponents is dead without them being able to do anything. Then its 2v1 with heals and cleanses to keep you both alive and killing! Maybe a pair of warlocks/Droods/Warriors that have enough health to last through the bubble-dmg phase?

I enjoy dual rogues in 2v2. One target gets sapped, the other gets destroyed very quickly (as it is nearly impossible to keep 2 rogues of ya), then restealth and kill off the final target. It is very similar to the 2 pally idea.

Shadow Priest and Feral Druid. Both can heal and dps, as well as they both have decent CC (fear, roots, sleep, plus stuns). Not to mention the druid can trick opponents into following them on a wild goose chase to buy time, can innervate themselves or a priest (plus in BC the priest pet will restore up to 1k mana per melee hit with decent gear, not to mention vampiric touch which has amazing capabilities). That's like 3.5-4.5 mana pools between the two players if you play your cards right. Thats a massive amount of damage for the priest (which equates to vamp embrace healing) and tons of pure healing mana for the druid (since their dps requires no mana) Not to mention the druid can stealth. Vamp embrace and priest dps combined with druid HoTs is a massive health buffer.

It's less RAW dps, but lets say, two mages spamming one target isn't that fun at all. This combo would seem very fun to play, and would outlast many other combos because of the way these two classes meld.

Of course there are many other awesome combos, but as a shadow priest I love playing with a good feral druid (in addition to warlocks, mages).
