can you move to any other server? or is there a short list for places you can go?

There are limits. You can't move from a nonPvP server to a PvP server of any description, the server you are moving to needs to be of a certain age (six months or older?) before they will allow transfers in some cases, don't think you can move to a full server, can't move a toon of lvl 9 or less... and probably a few more restrictions I haven't remembered. :-) Just try the first bit of the transfer and see what options it gives you? (Making sure you don't accidentally kick the transfer off...)
