Hey,
I have always thought, that if you cast a heal you generate threat on mobs close to you. E.g. every mob at 40 yard distance gets xx threat when I cast Flash heal.
Someone states that if I heal a MT, only the mobs mad at him will generate threat when I heal MT. So in theory I could spamheal MT, and offtank still keep aggro on adds with Demoralizing Shout.
More specific we're doing Panter in ZG. And our tactic atm is standing close together. Does the healers get aggro from panter adds by healing MT, or is it only the OT?
If there are grey areas and a lot of "It depends", please state them :)

Healing generates threat from all mobs within a specified radius. I believe, and I could be wrong, that it generates more threat to mobs targeting your healing target, though.
That's why, if you start a pull with the tank charging a single mob, and he's single-tanking that mob (single attacks - sunder, revenge, etc), you will pull all the other mobs he's not building aggro against by healing.

Yes, in short if you heal someone you will generate threat from the mob who is attacking them.

I think it's that if you heal someone you get aggro from all the mobs that have your target on their threat list. I know that in ZG when I'm healing the Mando-tank, I can get aggro from the raptor, so it's definately not only the people having your target as their target.

Yes, in short if you heal someone you will generate threat from the mob who is attacking them.
So if I throw a sunder on mob 1, then on mob 2, and an offtank comes to take mob 1 away from me, a heal on me will never aggro mob 1 attacking the offtank? Even though he stops dpsing and healers spam away?

MMM panther, yes you are genning threat by healing, which in particular effects the panthers spawning immediatley before you heal. Apart from boss repops which are a pain you shouldnt have any threat issues as a healer. just keep the two people with the triangles above their head gathering all the spawns and mages frost novaing them and you should be fine.

Get a healer and go out and figure it out. It will only take you 10 minutes or so and you will have a definitive answer.

let me rephrase, if you heal anyone on the mobs hate list you will generate threat.
The mob does not specifically have to be attacking that individual.
In your example, yes if you were on on mob 1 hate list then heals on you would generate threat on mob 1.

specificaly, you gain threat in amount of 1/2 effective healing done (i.e. somene is sitting at 700/1000hp, you heal them for 900, you generate 150 threat on all mobs that have you and/or your target on their hate list)
