Basically, I just bought the game yesterday and am very excited to get started. I installed all 5 discs without a problem. After I created my account, I tried to log in, but it had to auto restart the game to apply patches. The process was taking forever so I slept and when I woke up it had finished. I exited from the download and a new window popped up called "Updater." That took about 5 minutes. Once complete, the game started up on its own. Then it said the updated was successful. So I logged in and it started the whole long process over again. I need to know how to get to the game. Please tell me on of you can help.

Does it take this long for everyone? This one I'm on now has been going for about an hour and 45 minutes and it's only at 19%.

Ok, if you're on the US servers look here (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/7667/World+of+Warcraft+Manual+Patch+1.12++-+US/AUS).

If, you're on the UK servers then here (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/6282/World+of+Warcraft+Manual+Patch+1.12+-+UK), German servers here (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/7173/World+of+Warcraft+Manual+Patch+1.12+-+DE), or the French servers here (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/6817/World+of+Warcraft+Manual+Patch+1.12+-+FR).

Those are master patches, they contain all the information of all the previous patches. Master patches have the following names. 1.XX.0

1 = Refers to the engine model, in this case WoW classic, once the Burning Crusade is or just prior to it being released, we'll be moving on to version 2.
XX = reveals to the specific patch version. So, you could have 1.7.0 or 1.12.0 etc. All sorts of things have been added over the time period that WoW has been active, we're currently up to patch 12.
0 = is the number, which indicates that this is a master patch. If, it were to say 1 or 2 or 3 then you're dealing with an incremental patch, which adds to the master patch information that is new. Usually additional bug fixes.

WoW US is currently on version 1.12.1, whereas the EU servers are on version 1.12.2 with .2 having been done by download through the updater. Too small for folks to bother sticking it on a website for dl.

You just need to register in order to be able to dl at reasonable speedy pace. Though time of dl will matter, if you go in the midst of US rush hour, then things will be slow. Go outside of it, and you'll be humming along.

That site does offer the 1.12.1 incremental patch as well.
