PTR - always this bad?

This weekend I did all the stuff to get in to the PTRs and I was really excited to see the new stuff. I logged in and my toon copied over perfect. I the enter world - loading screen - character screen. I figured server was full and I would just keep trying. It was in the evening so I knew it would take a while if this was the reason. I tried for an hour (57 min). loading screen - char screen -loading screen - char screen on and on. After and hour I got in…

…about 90 sec later it booted me. I tried again - 5 more times and it let me in again. I was booted after about 2 min.

I looked at the PTR forums on the main site and apparently everyone is having this problem. One guy even made a video that was titled "sweet pvp on PTR!" and it was just a video of him logging in for about 20 sec then doing the loading screen/char screen dance I did. I thought it was pretty funny.

Are the PTR always this bad? How do they expect you to test anything? There were tons of posts asking about it on the main forums, but I didn't see any replys by blizz. (maybe i just missed it)

Anyone know if it is a known issue they are working on?

My past experience with PTR hasn't been near this bad. It has been this way pretty much since Thurs. night. On Fri, there was a blue post with the typical "We know this is an issue. We are working on it but do not have an ETA yet."

My guess is that the issue was too big to deal with on Fri., and the guys that know how to fix it were gone for the weekend. I can't see the WOW forums from work, but my fingers are crossed that PTR is up tonight.

I haven't been able to get a character copied over. It's always 'Unable to handle the request'. I have had no problem just starting a new character at the test server though.

I did my char copy last thursday and I searched for a mirror to download the patch b/c the wow one wouldn't download. Copy went fine and patch installed with out issue. I hope they have it fixed tonight. I want to try my new spec and try this new pvp thing.

Are raids an option in PTR? I know guilds are broke up, but with that many lvl 60 has anyone tried to pug ZG? It would take a good leader and a LOT of luck that you don't get bad seed - but would be awesome to test new specs.

I think they should make respecs free or really cheap on the PTR since the point is to test new things and one new thing is the talent trees.

The only way you can get into the ptr is if you are in an instance.. working as intended.....

I haven't been able to get in same as first post, loading.. = char select over and over. Gave up.. next week patch maybe
