For those who have WoW cards(real life), what kind of items did you get from them?

I heard that with the trading cards in real life you can sometimes get lucky and get a code for an ingame item or something. I seen this big turtle pet someone got, I was told it was from the cards.

What have you guys gotten? Is there a complete list I can look at? Gonna buy cards this week. THX!

Nothing so far...
I only have the two booster packs that came with the game, and each game me 100 UDE points to spend on their website. The only thing there of interest is the ogre-costume, but at 25000 points I suspect I'll never get it (the price for the boosters are way too high, IMHO. It's only colored cardboard, after all).

There's a turtle mount and hippogryph pet. But they're rare I think.

I'm not sure i'm a fan of blizzard selling in game items.

They arent selling ingame item.

They allowed upperdeck to make some trading card with the WoW theme and to help to sell them (because they are useless), Blizzard allowed upperdeck to put some rare card you can use to activate an ingame item.

Upperdeck and EBay seller make money from ingame item.

I haven't bought any cards. I live in an area where you are extremely lucky to find a store even open after 6 o clock at night.

If ask them about warcraft they'd ask if thats some new hunting season.

With that kind of logic, technically they have always been selling in-game items. I mean, Blizzard makes money from WoW period.

They licensing Upperdeck to use the "WoW" theme. So yes they make money from the card in some way. They sell the right to use a name.

You don't buy an in-game item, you buy a bunch of card and have a chance to win an in-game item.
Like when you buy a chips bag and have a chance to win a truck.

But if YOU find a card who give an in-game item and sell it on ebay, YOU sell in-game item.
And if blizzard give the opportunity to buy that turtle mount with real currency, yes they sell in-game item.

Without getting into the drama of how dare Blizz makes money from their products, I have two of the items right now. The turtle mount and the tabard . . and am hoping to find another tabard card.

You can search for a list of everything on upper decks sight, or go and talk to the goblin in BB named Landro longshot on the lower level dock. He give a list of everything you can get with this promotion and is how you redeem your codes.

For those up in arms about selling in game items . . . they dont give an advantage at all, just a cosmetic change. The turtle mount is a TON of fun to ride and I get all kinds of laughs and questions about it. It goes the same speed as normal walking unmounted, and like the real mounts you cant attack or control your pet while riding it . . . no advantage.

When you redeem the tabard, you get a choice between an ice or a fire design which is why im hoping to get a second one so I can get the ice. Looks much better then guild tabards and is just something a little unique. Personally I like that kind of thing!

I got lucky with the turtle mount and found it in my 5th or 6th pack. The tabard card was given to me by a friend who didnt want it.

I don't play the card game as it was designed (think MAGIC) but it's fun to collect like the old days of the Marvel cards etc /shrug
