Hi guys.

I've gotten my skinning up to level 100, and now i cant seem to gain anymore levels. I'm killing and skinning level 18-20 creatures but never gain a level. The text for 'skinnable' does not show up as gray.

Do I have to complete some quest to get my skinning above 100 or is there something else im missing?

Thanks in advance.

You ought to be able to get to 150 if they are in green(skinning wise).Skinning tends to lvl fast so I'm guessing you've reached the max for your character's current lvl.I believe max lvl, unless you have reached a training cap which you haven't) is char lvl x 5.Others more knowledgeable than me can confirm this for you.If I'm right though it should lvl up as your character lvls.Hope this helps a little

no lol, it does not level up as you level.... skills like look picking does that, but not a skill that is a profession. ALL professions can be max'd out to the purchased level. It is probably not leveling because either
A. You need higher level mobs
or
B. You need to purchase the next step of skinning (which you don't)

So just find some higher level beasts and try that.

im level 19.

i would skin higher level monsters, but the maximum level i can skin is 20 (100 skill divided by 5) and they do nothing for me.

could it have something to do with the fact that im using a trial account?

Its definately the trial account restrictions that are stopping you from passing 100. I just upgraded from trial, and two skins after logging on with the regular account, it went to 101, on a green no less.
