I have 300 tailoring and 300 enchanting. Im sure this depends on the server but what is it most people shoot for? With tailoring what do people want? Enchanting? Im sure everyone wants crusader from enchanting. I guess im asking this becuase that way I can focus on 2 or 3 things from each and narrow down the amount of mats needed and just go focus on those.

People buy bags from tailors mainly and enchanting you shouldn't worry about having mats on hand. Excess mats sell on the AH... when someone wants enchants ask them to bring their own mats, which they will buy from the AH in most cases thus you will have sold your mats (instead of cluttering up your bank space). Charge enchanting fees based on how rare the formula is ... most of them I'll do for a tip on whatever they feel is appropriate. It's only the higher end enchants that you need rep or rare drops to get access to that I'll charge a set fee.

All in all don't expect to make very much money on enchanting unless you get some of the uber rare recipes that drop in raid instance.

I thought about making bags but im not sure which ones. Ive got up to 16 slot bags but im looking for 18 or 20 if they exsit. As far as rarer enchants go, i havent got any really but anything that drops I learn it instead of selling it.

Most of the good enchants are either extremely rare drops, drops in raid instances like Molten Core and Ahn'Qiraj... or are purchasable from vendors after reaching a certain level of reputation with one of the in-game factions (such as the Timbermaws or Thorium Brotherhood).

Probably the best bags to make profit off of reliably are the runecloth bags (14 slots). But the profit really isn't that great per bag. They are just easy to make and a lot of people will opt for them at 3-4g over a 16 slot bag for 17-18g. Or the specialty bags like for soul shards, cenaurion herb or enchanting bags. The pattersn for these however are also pretty rare and/or need a reputation with Cenaurion Circle to purchase.

Mooncloth Bags you can do okay with but I tend to just sell the mooncloth. And if you got the bottomless bag pattern from MC (18 slot and biggest all purpose bag) it simply isn't worth the materials it will take to craft it.

The best professions for making money as a casual or a newb are mining and herbalism, the problem is you cant have both tracked at once.
