Im 300 tailoring now....but thats the only profession I chose. I still have one more to pick...which would you pick? I like the mining idea but herbalism sells.:embarassed:

I would highl suggest for money, I don't know, but herbalsim, stuff like mountain silversage, wow, money. But mining, the arcanite stuff sells well. But I hear alot of people are pairing enchanting with tailoring. (Don't ask me why)

get the one that you think will be fun, you can make money from almost every profession.
but consider the fact you dont need to have 1 gathering, 1 crafting profession.
they can both be craft, and it pays off too. (and imo makes more money)

PS. making money from gathering is a LOT less work.

I like herbelism, especailly when it comes to end game play. It makes me a ton of money, but I can also collect the herbs I need to really cut down my potion costs.

I also some times, when I feel generous (or maybe just drunk) give out potions to my guildies that need them.

My holy priest has Tailoring and enchanting since I don't really take her out appart from raids, any collecting professions would be a waste, she's by far my worst grinding character so the most she ever does is fly/ride between instances.

I should add, enchanting is EXPENSIVE to level. But, if you can be bothered, you can make money on a lot of things, especially glows and stamina enchants, and I imagine the rare raid dropped patterns amoungst others.

Yeah I tried enchanting but did not like it at all. Seems forever to level up. I think I'll go with mining as the gathering profession.

Well if you need money any gathering profession will do But the only thing left over is enchanting since its the only skill that gathers its own resources (plus It gives you armor bonuses to the things your making and gives you a bigger money making skill if you sell the enchants they really do support each other nicely)

I did skinning on my first toon (now lvl 60) and quite frankly I wish I had done herbalism. I am 300/300 atm and I am seriously considering dropping skinning to pick up herbs. I only have my levl 40 mount but from what I have read it would only take about 3 hours or so to level it up to 300/300: correct?
