New to game

hey everyone. im new to this game. been playing one month, have a level 41 mage. i want a UI, tried bongos, didnt like it, tried bartender, didnt like it. ive been trying to get Titan panel to work. i unzip all files into interface>addons in WoW file, and get on wow, its not there. am i doing something wrong? the reason i want titan is because of its versatility, and of the xp/hour function. are there any others like it?

Well don't really know what to suggest if you don't like 2 of the best bar addons going atm. There's probably a good chance you won't like Titan as well by the sounds of things.

With regards to installation, try the very first post in this forum, it explains exactly what you need to do and check to get your addons to work. It's stickied in the hope people will read it before posting their addons don't work.

One more Note: I would suggest since you are new, wait until after tomorrows patch to start doing addons. The patch is going to mess up a lot of the current ones, and no reason to spend a lot of time finding one you want today, only to have to wait until it is updated after the patch.

I had the same problem trying to get Titan to work. What I did was go in to the unzipped folder where you can see all the different things it will add in their own folders. Then highlight them all and copy then press back a couple times to addons and paste.

Big point here. The whole way API commands are going to work is changing in patch 2.0, which will "break" a lot (most) of the current UI mods out there. And since 2.0 is being released tomorrow, it's a good idea to wait until then to begin dabbling in the UI world.
