10 day free trail and other questions.............

I want to try the 10 day trail, but I don't want to give up my credit card #......anyway can I do that?......If i bought the game at the store would i still have to give up my cred #, whats the deal with the cards you buy at the store and you can play........ your help will be aprreciated

It may depend on the country youre in, but I live in the UK and went into a local Game store, paid about £2.99 for a trial key (came in a DVD box) and entered that into the game account activation screen.

I am currently playing it and it has at no time asked me for a credit card or any payment.

Same here, I believe trial editions run for about NZ$14.99, you can play that for the 10 day period.

I personally do not use my credit card for a subscription but buy a game card every two months with whatever loose change has accumulated in the house (Usually enough). Then simply pop into the Account Management page, enter the number and voila - two more months of WoW bliss.

Why are people so leery of using their CC?

The internet is probably more secure than the local department store and in any event this is no fly-by-night company that we are talking about.
