I'm leveling a Paladin alt and as a break from the endless solo questing I got a level 60 friend to hit SM with me last night. He said "You want to try for that axe?" and I said "what axe?" (Paladin is my first non-caster.) He laughed.

After three tries at Herod I was extremely lucky. First time I got his mail helm, second time I got the mail shoulders, and third time - the Ravager.

If you don't know the weapon, it's an Axe with 37.3 DPS, 3.5 speed, and a proc that "causes you to hit all enemies in a radius around for every 3 seconds for 9 seconds, causing weapon damage plus 5%." - or something like that.

Anyway the axe is really cool and I love the proc. I'm just curious - what kind of enchant should I put on it, and how many levels do you think it will last me?

I have the money to twink, and with Paladin DPS being pretty low I like to keep the best weapon I can. What weapon should I plan for my next upgrade? IBS?

I dont like the proc for a pally, useful as a "tanking" weapon in lowe dungeon, but since the hit generated by the proc are special hit, SoC don't proc from it.
And dmg every 5sc against 1 opponent is lame since the normal attack is faster and proc your seal.

I had it for my pally and threw it away as soon as I got something else.

i wouldnt put any enchant on it.. unless the enchant is 100% free and even then i would put like +4 damage or something :x

Sorry i have not really messed around with enchants yet.

The axe is nice and i used it for about 5 - 7 level after 35.

The one problem i found is that if you are running an instance and people are SAP, Sheep etc your proc tends to mess things up unless you pull everyting away from each other, so be carefull and make sure the situation allows it's use.
