The Patch has now been released, I'm just uploading it to my website as a heads up! It'll be about 450mb I might add but it'll be there very soon! I'll let you know once it's up so we can download it.

The patch size difference from others is probably that you didnt download as much of the patch in previous weeks as others have. In case you didnt know, Blizz had a background downloader going every so oftern to give you chunks of the patch before today's release.

I used Blizz downloader and took the whole patch in only a few minutes . . . that was early this morning though so traffic is probably pretty high by now.

No disrespect Jamie . .but does anyone else find this a bit weird that someone new with only 2 posts is being so nice as to provided a completed download? I would virus check it HARD . . .

Strangley US gets the patch in 4 chunks and 450 MB,
Europe (GB) gets 3 chunks and 690 MB.

May the maintenance be with us. All going well in Us so far?

No, they just added 4 hours to the downtime with an update at the top of the next hour..

They obviously ran into some bugs with the big patch.

Considering the Patch is the largest one yet as far as its effects (not just raw size) its not a big shock.

After all- this patch allows players with WOW to interact with items and players from the BC. There would seem to be alot of technical issues with that since WOW players can't go to areas that BC people can, can't learn Jewelcrafting go above 60 - go through the Dark Portal or Caverns of Time or Medivhs Tower ect. -- But both groups of players exist on the same server at the same time.... so thier are issues of course.

No doubt we will see 2.01 right b4 the BC launches and 2.02 right after!!!

Whats with the difference in patch size between Europe and US? Im Dl now, but play on Euro servers, does this mean this patch wont work for me?
