Is now worthless right? I think I read in the patch notes that you can disenchant based on level ...did I read this correctly?

I know it is being put in place...I think it is in the patch, but wasn't sure if they were waiting until BC hit...

Yes, I believe your DE'er will be less useful now...

Is this included in the patch today or when TBC goes live?

Patch today from what I understand.

Look for enchanting mats to skyrocket as only true enchanters will be able to DE things.

I think it might be very difficult to even FIND the mats you want.

Oh glorious days.

Can you tell I'm an enchanter?

Are you truly an enchanter? Or are you more of a disenchanter?

Well, I'm mostly a disenchanter atm, but since I have leveled up my enchanting to .. umm .. 275 or so I think .. I'd like to call myself an enchanter. I'll up the rest of the skillpoints when I get to 60 :)

All enchanters are "mostly" disenchanters LOL...

Just to be clear...DEing is based on you skill level, not your character level, right? So my Lv35 300 enchanting alt will still be DE-viable, correct?

Yes I was very happy my priest-enchanter just made lvl 37 with enchanting 217  when I read:

* Skill level now determines what items you can disenchant.
o Skill 1= Level 1-20
o Skill 25= Level 20-25
o Skill 50= Level 25-30
o Skill 75= Level 30-35
o Skill 100= Level 35-40
o Skill 125= Level 40-45
o Skill 150= Level 45-50
o Skill 175= Level 50-55
o Skill 200= Level 55-60
o Skill 225= Level 60-65

See that you only have to have a lvl20+ character with 200 enchanting to still be able to DE max level things now.

That is incorrect.

In anticipation of this patch I took my enchanting to 200 so I could DE up to level 60 gear, but post the patch I discovered that I had to take it to 225 to DE a level 57 item (which I have done).

There are fewer mats on the AH now and I have jacked my prices for dream dust by 20s and they still sell real fast. Faster than before. I can still get the items to DE from the AH for the same price. More profit for me and I am yet to learn how much people will pay per DD: maybe 1G each???

Was it a lvl 57 item, or an item that required lvl 57 to use? There's a difference, as even many green items have an item level 5 levels above the level required to use it. I've seen epics with item levels as high as 83.
