Retrieving character list

I'm on the uk server hellscream and cannot retrieve any of my players. I can log on and it accepts password but then freezes on following page - 'Retrieving character list' and cancel. It will let me cancel and come out but that's it.
Is anyone else having this problem?

yup same problem on Kazzak EU

Some servers I can log onto but most just stay stuck on the retreiving character list

Lightbringer also has the same problem ... 5-10mins to retrieve then after the conencting screen kicked right back to the retrieving list.

Why Blizz couldn't put that on log in page is beyond me. :ponder:

Neither Lightbringer or Darkspear are currently on the server available list. You get redirected to Nordrassil and Quel'Thalas as the two closest English speaking PvE servers, course both are experiencing problems with the retrieving character lists. And in addition, it's not possible at present to create new characters either.

Plus, before I forget to mention it, WoW EU main site is down, no way to access the realm status screen that they normally have. This in the hope, that it might've had more info than either the log-in screen or the previously mentioned forum posting, as linked to by frimley.

Well..Earthen Ring is not on the list..but you also get stuck on retrieving.
