A question for the techno wizards here.
Is there any way that I can connect my laptop to the internet (UK) when I'm away from home or not near a hotspot? For example if I'm on a train going up to Scotland and have 4hrs to kill, I'd quite fancy doing a couple of BGs to pass the time or something.
I thought I could connect through my mobile but have been scouring through the Orange website and cannot really find any useful info.
So I was just wondering if anyone was doing it, or knew how to? Taking cost into consideration of course.

You might be able to do so, but it won't be cheap.

In the US there is such a system, but it uses mobile minutes...so, you pay whatever rate you pay for your phone.

Plus any tunnels or bad reception areas will be a problem. I forsee a lot of disconnects.

tbh the cost of mobile i-net is pretty high. they usually charge by the amount of data flow plus a heavy service charge, plus you will need a mobile net card or use your phone as a modem.

lastly you need to consider whether you laptop and phone will have enough power for 4 hours constant use. i suspect a laptop with enough ooph to run wow will have a high power drain.

it will be cheaper to buy a good book for the journey.
