Hi

How do enchants work should i purchase one from another player through the trade channel?

Do they send an item to your mailbox which can be used in the same way as a +armour points upgrade created through leatherworking, or do you have to send the item to them to be enchanted?

Thanks.

You put the item into the "not traded' slot in the trade box, they apply the enchant, and you add money, and both click trade.

Thus, both of you need to be within trade range.

If the item is not soul bound to you, yes it can be sent through the mail to an enchanter so they can enchant it. However, I would only do that with someone you know and trust personally, or maybe a fellow guild member.

Otherwise, the safest way (and the ONLY way for soul bound items) is to place it in the "not to be traded" slot of the trade window. The enchanter will add the enchant, you add the agreed upon price, and then both click trade. This is the same process used for openning locked boxes.
