Realm change

Hi All

After the debacle that has been the EU patch upgrade today, i have tried to log on at 19.00 GMT and for the first time ever within the last 6 weeks, have been put in to a queue of 1450, on the Chromaggus server.

It is slowly counting down yet it offers me the chance to click on the "change realm" button. Can you simply change realm whenever a server is full/ unavailable? I know you can pay £15 to change realm once withing any 3 or 6 months but what does this button at this time offer?

The change realm button in the game itself has nothing to do with moving characters. It allows you to create and play characters on multiple realms.

If you were to want to move your current character to another realm, you need to go to the worldofwarcraft official website, go to the account management pages, and select to perform a character transfer. There's no risk of this happening in the game client itself.
