Marks of Honor

What do they do? I know you turn them in for each battleground outside the battleground. I have 9 from Alterac Valley.

I also have 1450 in honor points too I think it said this morning.

you use the marks and the honor to buy pvp gear and weapons. for horde, the area you go to is called the Hall of Legends in Org, dont know about Alliance...

All of the Gear from rank is now avalible at a price of Honor and marks, (all that gear from the officers rooms) as the mounts can be bought with 30 marks from each faction. though it seems that they are giving less honor for kills and wins since the patch, which will make it very hard to get any of the items.
as most of them require Honor for the buy.

I really wish there was something like a vendor who takes in Marks and convert them into honor and vice versa, even at a markup rate or something. Currently I have too little honor and too many marks...

Same. I'll have to start throwing away marks soon. You can't carry more than 60 of one kind atm. You should be able to buy something useful by the time you have 60 marks I guess, but I'm still saving for something a bit more expensive..

They should allow us to buy something without honor cost with the marks. Currently the only one available are mounts. Heck I even buy stacks of pots using only marks if possible.

Saving for something expensive? I believe by the time you get 60 marks of AB and AV, you still can't get the epic staff which cost a whopping 44000 honor.

Also, is there no more experience for turn-ins? That's too bad if they got rid of that, cause at the lower levels you could go through levels just playing the BG's.

Check out the hall of legends of your horde or SI:7 (I think) if you're alliance. The rep rewards are sold at the same places they used to be.

LOL, they are in fact incredibly easy to get.

In about 4-5 hours of pvp on average you can buy pvp blue helm.

1. A casual player of a couple hours a day would probably never rank high enough to get that piece, now they can get it in a few days.

2. A medium player of a couple hours a day and 8 hours over the weekend might reach that rank, but it would take several weeks if not a couple months.

3. A hardcore player could get a piece a day of the blue, and a piece a week of the HWL gear (at least), which would taken them 8 hours a day for 3-4 months with premades to get before.


I would say the pvp gearing rate got a 10000000% boost. (exaggeration, but its about 4-6 times faster).

A casual player can get the rare tier 1 pvp set a piece a day now. You still have to wait for 2am server time for the honor to be "cashed in" so that you can buy something.

A friend of mine has the HWL chest and shoulders on his warrior now. I don't know exactly how much he has been playing, but I know he's been out of the house on several occasions ;)
That's from thursday to monday (our server had a lot of problems).

The people participating in the guilds premaid (mains mostly) get close to 20k in a day I believe.

That's a lot.... you must have been playing horde.

Seriously it's far easier to get honor as horde rather than alliance, if only because of the queue time. The horde gets in much more battles than we alliance do.

I know my queue time is encredibly fast. If im alone i just join first available and im in the battle in no more than 30 seconds. I got enough tokens to buy myself a pvp mount and come to find out they raise the riding skill to 150 and it costs like 810 gold for the skill! ummm no thanks,

Maybe once BC comes out, more people will play the sexy blood elf and then the alliance will have shorter queue time due to higher horde population.

I'm only guessing, here.. I believe you got a Flight Path in the Arathi Highlands?
I'd try there.

Other than that I actually kinda like it that you can't turn in marks for exp/honor, as it forces you to get the cool stuff you'd otherwise miss out on. (such as mounts, tabards.. think that's about it)

In Hammerfal at the entrance to Arathi Basin. Or you can go to Orgrimmar in the Officer's Hall or whatever its called now and buy items that just require honor points.

You can spend extra marks on epic mounts granted you meet the conditions. Also you can spend them on fairly decent healing and mana potions that can be used outside of bg's from the knights hall in SW.
