What Does A Jewlers Kit Do

Im jsut wondering what a jewlers kit is used for?:afro:

It's used in the new Burning Crusade Jewelcrafting profession. Jewels are socketeable items for your weapons (And I think Armour too, but not 100% on that last snippet)

Will current armor/weapons we are using ever going to be socketable or do we have to kill Shenk the Overseer with many different characters? :D

I read somewhere tha tonly items from outland will be socketable, so this will not be a new way to twink your level 19 bg whore.

I'd correct you if I thought you were wrong. As it stands, I believe you are correct. No changes to existing items (for sockets, at least).

Though there may be some new sockletable items that drop outside of outlands.
