0/0/0 will suffice.
On a serious note, a lot of people tend to like affliction now for serious PvP.

yea, i was thinking saying 0/0/0 too, but spending just 21 talen points should make you godly enough that you wont even die, where as 0/0/0 every once in a while you might die

I was rank 10 pvp before patch. I went 5/7/rest and would pwn any class.
Now with the patch im 5/4/42 and still pwn every class. So to answer your question if you going to pvp, really pvp you need to be destruction IMO.

I PvP as heavy destruction pre-patch up to rank 9ish (time/week was my limiting factor), and really owned with that build. Since the patch, I've done 2 evenings of BGs with each 41-pointer. Here's my assessment:
Affliction (10/41/0):
I feel like this is the ultimate in large-scale PvP. Fairs much better in an organized group than solo. Basically, the strategy is not to focus on 1 enemy. Keep moving constantly. Put Unstable Affliction, Corruption, Siphon Life, and a curse (Agony for melee, tongues for casters, exhaustion to kite) on everyone, and just keep moving. Don't worry about trying to burn anyone down. other than Intant Shadowbolts (nightfall), I NEVER cast any damage spell other than DoTs and drain life (very effective now), I die a bit more (probably due to my playstyle more than anything), but even after my death, my dots are ticking away on 4-5 targets, which is a great help to my teammates still in the battle. This playstyle is really dependant on being in a group. Don't go roaming around BGs solo. If you see a mounted enemy riding by, throw up 2-3 dots on him, and keep going. In a group v. group skirmish, run in and cast your instant aoe fear. With a coordinated group, this build is absolutely devastating. No other build in the game can match the multi-target DPS of affliction.
Demonology (7/44/0):
Survivability is still king with this build, and it now sports increased DPS, and the new pet. I personally find the Felguard to be great in solo and very small group PvP (Arenas), but in mass BG pvp, I find it a bit lacking myself. The felguards take a lot more skill and attention to control than the other pets to reach their full potential, so there is a bit of a training curve there, and good macros are a must. I find my damage potential with this build not that great, as I don't have the amped dots (and the added 2 dots) that affliction gives, nor do I have the added instant nukes and increased crits that I get with Destruction. Many locks still swear by Demonology for PvP, but personally I find it to be the least desirable of the 3 trees for battlegrounds. Maybe a bit better once you can get Shadowburn added to the build.
Destruction (5/0/46):
Mini-mage build, now with some addeded defense and an AoE stun. Backlash is an absolutely glorius talent. Getting instant shadowbolt procs 25% of the time you are melee hit is amazing. hunter/warlock pets on you pretty much guarantee Backlash Procs. Nether Protection isn't bad either. Getting immunity procs to fire mages or other warlocks can mean the difference. Soul Leech isn't worth the points. Doesn't proc often enough, and when it does the health return is too minimal. Spend the points elsewhere. The 70% ability to avoid spell interrupts when struck is a godsend when trying to cast a nuke while getting hit. Immo/Conflag/Shadowburn still pumps out some serious instant DPS. Shadowfury is amazing for protecting flags in AB or AV. This is definately the "solo-target" pvp build. Pick a target, burn him down.
So, I would say it depends on the setting and your playstyle.
Based on Setting:
arena/solo pvp: Felguard
solo queuing BGs: Destruction
group queuing BGs: Affliction
That said, all 3 are pretty viable in all settings, so find the playstyle you enjoy the most.

I've gone Full Destruction with 5/5 impr Corr Soul Siphon and Impr Life tap.
Firstly, the points in affliction are for instant corruptions which to be is 100% absolute must always. Soul Siphon I have in there as it's handy when Raiding which I still do so had to give it a nod. Impr Life tap is another must have spell. Gives me about an extra 140 mana per tap which means a shadowbolt in two taps.
Anyway, I find that varying play style works best here. You can focus on individual targets and nuke em down fast. However, I find COA and CORR on all targets, a Seduction, Curse of Tongues, and then nuking works best here against multiple opponents. Shadwfury and Howl of Terror is awesome at flags or when faced with fast approaching enemies. This build is hugely hugely versatile, and very good fun.
I did an AV today, and after 35 minutes I had 300k damage done, whereas the next highest was languising at around 220k. I had spent the time dotting everything, nuking specific targets (priests shamens hunters) and aoe'ing large groups with rain of fire and shadowfury. It was by far the most fun I have had in large scale pvp in wow.

I would go all out affliction you can completely pwn but you need armor or something that will keep your mana up, dark pact is good to use for mana and drain life/life tap

Firstly, the points in affliction are for instant corruptions which to be is 100% absolute must always.
I don't necessarily agree with this. in the time I cast instant corruption (still has the 1.5 sec GCD), I can cast Immolate or Searing Pain. I don't find I use corruption much when PvPing as a destro lock. That said, if you can fit it in (along with improved lifetap), it's great to have, but I wouldn't call it 100% must have for destruction builds. Plus, you either have to sacrifice DE or Ember/NP/Backlash. I'd rather have all those than instant corruption myself.
The thing about destruction is it's very strictly tiered. If you put even 1 point in Dest, you really should put in 11 for Burn. as soon as you spend point 12, you really should go 21 for ruin. If you go deeper than 21, you should go all the way to 31 for Conflag. At that point, you only have 20 left, meaning DS or Siphon is out. 7/5 makes sense, which still leaves you 8 more to spend, which is best spent in destruction again.
so, basically, the ONLY numbers anyone should have in destruction is 0, 11, 21, or 39+ The only possible exception to this would be the 0/41/10 Felguard/Bane spec.
