Ok I am currently i the Vek'nilash realm, as a level 20 night elf warrior. Now from the first city to Ashenvale (the furthest I have got so far) I never run into people. My ping i usually 130-140. I am in ontario canada. I was hoping I could get help finding a server with a higher population with better or the same ping

Just wait... People will come...
I made my char on a low population server...2 months later its a full server and now there is a queue to get in... Pisses me off to no end, but what can you do. I refuse to start a new char on a new realm just to have the same thing happen..its the nature of the beast.

Yah, this server has been @ medium since I got there. The biggest issue is that I can't find people to quest with so I'm stuck running around trying to do all the quests alone :\

Since you mention being in Canada, and the EU Vek'nilash is PvP, I assume you're talking about the US realms.
May I suggest checking out Whisperwind and seeing how good your ping is? It's been a while since I played there, as I went to PvP servers, but I was on for a while when I first got my American account and I found it a pleasant place to be. It's CST PvE like Vek'nilash apparently is, there were PUGs available for anything from levelling instances to Onyxia, good Alliance-side population, etc.
Someone more familiar with PvE realms might have a better suggestion, but I think it's worth a look.

My ping is pretty good there, thanks. I just find it boring to be running through the game alone. I have a lot of trouble getting through some of the later quest alone with my level 21 warrior

US Vek rocks. Thats where I play. Enough people to play with, but areas not too full to cause mega lag. My ping lvls are great, but I am in Texas.

I think that it is just your level. I don't know about that realm specifically, but I find that on alot of servers most people have multiple 60's, and aren't really interested in doing the low level stuff anymore. The best thing to do is join the newest server you can find, that way more people will be in your level range.

Other advise would be to go to the other continent to level. Most people dont say in the Night Elf lands for levelling for some reason. The majority of people jump over to Westfall/Redridge/Duskwood pretty early. I'm sure you will find more people in those zones than in Ashenvale.
When I level a character in Ashenvale it is because I want to be alone and not have any competition for quest mobs and drops.

Man, I think i'd kill for a ping that low! Mine's usually somewhere in the 400's :(

that s because ashenvale and darkshore are so damn ugly, gray, foggy. Depressing in one word.
And it is in the nature of the game that new servers are somewhat empty, but fill up over time. The only exception i have noticed so far are RP and RP-PvP servers.
