Is it just Blizz forum fanboi blathering or are they going to change the reward system when TBC arrives? Forcing us into a grind frenzy to aquire PvP rewards?

I'm not looking for a flame war, if I did I'd post on Bizz. Since it seems you don't need to get PvP rewards, this shouldn't concern you. So please say something constructive or stfu.

Huh? If you don't want to start a flame war, why would you tell someone to stfu?
Why exactly do you "need" Rank 12-14 PvP epics in TBC? I am trying to understand your logic here.

For someone who does not want to start a flame war, you are pretty cruel towards a person asking you what you meant about "forcing" someone to PvP.
And PvP items, rank 14 and such will make it "easier" for you to level in TBC. It is not a requirement or it will state so in the box, example: Tier 2+ or Rank 13+ geared characters only.
But no, if you have crappy gear, like really crappy gear (Level 60 wearing level 40 greens) then yes, you will have a very hard time leveling. This is a given and it is nothing new to the game. We all know that having better gear can make a huge difference in damage taken and damage dealt.
Hope it answers something.

Other than to make leveling/grinding faster there is no "need." From what I am told the level 60 epic you get now will be replaced in about 4-5 levels.
And there is no need for vulgar language here spoiler, and what Ryste is asking is a legitimate question.

too much coffee today. Other peoples "need"'s may be very different from yours, personally I have no time to "raid" therefore I have no other way to "aquire" any "epics". I thought here I might get some helpful info from people who could extrapilate from my above statement that I have heard some rumors that there will be a change to the newly current system. IF there was to be a change, this would mean all the people who have worked hard to get these "need"ed items might get screwed. Personally I would like to be able to play my average hour or so nightly, happily slapping Alliance around knowing that I was working towards something rewarding, at a pace that doesn't make this "game" feel like work. And if you don't "NEED!!!111" a full set of HWL/GM items, please delete your acct.

You could be a bit clearer and far less combative. It is not too easy to figure out what you are asking here.
If you are asking if the Honor system that is in play now will remain at level 70 the answer is yes. The rewards from that system will not, however, be as good relative to the raid gear as the current HWL stuff is. It will be more along the lines of the R10 armor / AV weapons. In order to get PvP gear that is on par with the raid PvE gear you will have to form a team and compete in the rated Arena combat. No one has any definate answers as to how quickly you will aquire gear with your weakly arena points yet.

I agree with you "need" means differently to different people. How come you didn't explain what your "need" means in your first post? Do you assume people who answer your post will have the same difinition of "need" as you do?
I can not tell what is going on in your head if you don't express it.
After reading this post I am still not sure why the need of HWL items and what does that has to do with BC? (at least, your questions are still too ambigious for me to give a good answer to.)

I think what he was trying to ask was/is this, "Has anyone heard/read about any planned changes to the current PVP honor point structure?"
I think he was asking if A)there are going to be changes and B) are these changes going to make it necessary to constantly grind... pre- 2.0 patch style. By pre-2.0, I am referring to the old ranking system that required you to constantly grind in order to increase your relative rank... as opposed to the more objective 10 HKs = X points, you save X points = Sweet PVP gear.
I too would be disappointed if it were necessary to return to that, "grind as much as you can to get more kills in relation to everyone else, or no gear for you", type of mentality. I find this system to be a bit much, namely, because if person 1 puts in 50 hrs grinding pvp in week 1 he will be #1 and eligible for the best gear. However, person 2 also put in 50hrs... but spread over 3 weeks and he is not eligible for any gear even though the amount of time is the same. I think that person 2 upon putting in 50 hrs should be as eligible as person 1 after putting in 50 hrs. The benefit for person 1 is that they would have it 2 weeks earlier...
From what I understand, the Arena rewards system will rely more on your Win Vs. Loss ratio than it will on the number of hours spent grinding the honor. I would also imagine that this W v. L ratio would have some sort of built in decay and minimum # of matches. The decay or time frame would be necessary to allow people who suck at the beginning but are constantly getting better to, over time, recieve a better W v L ratio. Example being: you need at least 20 matches per week, and the W v. L ratio would be figured based on your prior three weeks records. This way would reward a consistently winning team, but would still allow a "bad" team to improve over the course of time. I think this is necessary because if you were to lose 20 arena matches at the beginning it would take a terribly long stretch of time to even get to a .5 winning percentage, even if you started winning 75% of your matches. But if it "decayed" then the early, consistent, losses would slowly be replaced with your new winning percentage that is more indicitive of your current PvP level.
I hope this clears up his question... and his worries about the new and future Pvp structure.

I think everone understood the question, its just that the first person who tried to clarify got a STFU and then later he told any of us who didn't have the same goals as him to delete our accounts b/c he dosent have time to raid. /crymeariver.
