Quick question regarding level 40 mounts

Hi guys,

I have a question about mounts. The toon in question is a dwarf honoured with IF and SW and Gnomes and I am about to hit 40 and as soon as I do I will be getting my mount.

I assume the drill is that I go to the dwarf trainer to get the riding skill but that I can go to any other alliance trainer/stable to purchase their mount. Is that correct?

I really don't what a ram (or mechanical chicken for that matter). So I will go for a horse (that is human mount correct?) or the feline NE mount if I can get it without being honored with Darnassus (can I?).

I hate to tell you this, but you are stuck with a ram. Only way to get the other faction mounts is to get exalted with that faction. I have not seen a lvl 40 that is exalted with any faction, but it might be possible.

Usually someone farms runecloth to gain honor at lvl 60 to do this.

Even with a human (Diplomacy) and almost exclusively focussing on Quests the best I've managed was Honoured at level 36 with the other Alliance Factions.

I wonder if it's possible to gain Exalted state at 40. Hmmm. My Lock has done little questing and is still only lvl 23, so maybe I should use her to try and get to Exalted at 40. She'd look cool on a Nightsabre.

The easiest way, get 30 token of each BG so you can get cross-faction PvP mount at 60.
Took me 2 week (3h/day) to get all tokens.
