Items, drops and drop rates questions.

I have been playing the game for a while now. A few months ago I decided to go to one of the new realms and create a brand new chacter and try the Horde side of the world. Anyway I got to 60 pretty fast but along the way I have gotten more drops with this character then I ever got before. My play style with this character has mostly been just completing the soloable quests. In the process I have sitting in my bank 15 blue items, level 40+ and 2 epic items, 50+.

how does the world drop work and what does that mean exactly?
Have I gotten more of these becuase of playing on a newer server with fewer players?

Anyone know? I am just curious.

you were just lucky, the items have a fixed drop rate. around 0.001% chance for world drops.

Thanks for the reply 2flower. Maybe I should keep this character then as I am never this lucky.

it's not a matter of character, it's just random. throwing dice every time you kill a mob basicaly, if you will.

i have a warrior alt and he has been lucky every time i log in whit him.

Dal rend set complete in 2 UBRS runs. 1st ony run whit a 40 man pickupgroup i get the T2 helmet ^^

I dare not log in again in fear of what would drop next time ^^

I know it's not a matter of character zkajan, but I am superstitious like most people probably are. Just feels nice. Example, since I last posted another epic droped for me...some ring level 53...Myrmidon Signet I believe. Anyway it feels good to get some good drops for a change.

Yeah.. Sometimes the dice rolls in your favor.. For an example, I never usually get a single drop, and even as I ha ~10 chars up to 30 at the time, I hadn't had a single blue BoE.. however, in a single day, I had about 15.. Sadly, they were all spread on different realms, otherwise I'd have had ALOT of money :P But it's kinda fun when ya get such imba luck a single day..

As I am continuing to grind AD rep and the War effort in the Eastern Plaguelands I got two more epics to drop, and several blue pieces of armor and weapons. I have also recieved several blue items from the war effort turn ins. I want to start a new character but these drops are making it so hard. As a side not during the week of shut down I have been playing about 4-5 hours a day. Maybe that is apart of my luck as well.
