Will the worldofwarcraft BC standard edition come on a CD or DVD?

i would have thought dvd,

when wow came out it was pretty much the standard for games to be installed from cd-rom and was pretty rare to be on dvd format unless you was buying a dvd movie, however it seems in the time between then and now most games released are in dvd format i cant see why wow tbc should be any different

but either way we will find out next month or before when magazines may get a copy of the game early on hard copy for review purposes but i could be wrong

Well....I actually think it would be on CD.

The Burning Crusade Collector's Edition says that it comes with World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade on both CD and DVD

All of the listed features of the BC Expansion set (Which can be found here (http://worldofwarcraft.com/burningcrusade/townhall/collectors.html)) are means of distinguishing it apart from the regular edition of the expansion. The way it's worded in the text, along with context, it sounds like that by buying the CE, you have access to CD and DVD. Which implieses that the DVD is an extra added bonus for buying the CE, and the normal versions would come on CD.

So, get one for Christmas...They are CHEAP!....Of course, if you'd rather put in six CD's (attended installation, one at a time), instead of one DVD (fire and forget), that is fine with me.

For initial WoW the CE had the DVD and the CD versions both. The DVD installer was considered a CE-only selling point tho. I would imagine the standard edition is CDs only, but I can't guarantee it.
