Farming Items for upcoming BC expansion. . .

What will be the most used items, that are already in the game, that will be in high demand for the upcoming expansion? I was looking through jewelcrafting recipes and noticed that most of them required some sort of jewel.

Any idea what I should start farming now?

Well, jewels would be a good idea then ;)

Seriously tho, any item used in crafting should sell well, since everyone and his mother is going to start new characters and a lot of them are going to take up crafting professions, thus needing crafting material to level their skills.

Shaman class sets on Alliance, Paladin class sets on Horde ;)

Also, raw materials are always hot merchandice, can't go wrong if you collect them.

From what I hear, Jewel crafting can take ore and process it for usefull things for crafting. Because of that, I'm stocking up on tons of Ore, that should hopefully make me a ton of money.

A few of the lower level alch recipes (unstable mana pot, and the equiv. healing pot) take dreamfoil and golden sansam....

I played my warlock up to L66 in Beta.

ALL of the old world mats will be phased out by the time you get L65 recipes. THe L61-64 recipes, will use a minor component of old world mats, but will not be a massive amount.

For alchemy, some of the pots use dreamfoil and golden sansam, but it is only 1 herb per pot, so herbs will go a long way. Shouldnt expect to see much of a price difference.

If you stock up on anything, just go for what you personally need for leveling up. Rune cloth and Dreamfoil is Very common in the starting BC areas.

I say go for the alchemy pots with long duration buffs.

Me personally? This is what i stocked up on, but is for my own personal use.

Dreamfoil and Silversage, I am an alchemist, so i can make Greater Arcane Elixirs for myself.

And, 5 stacks of rune cloth. So i can level up my First Aid skill ASAP (about 30 points), and use the upgraded Felcloth bandages.

Besides that, Save up a TON of money, fso you can buy new alchemy pots, enchants, and recipes in BC are far and away better than old world.

"starting area" generally means levels 1 through 20 or so...My guess is that you meant somewhere else...
