Well, I'm in a little bit of a sticky situation with my hunter..
When I started my hunter, I was new and I slacked. I didn't care much about professions, and I didn't play PvP at all, because I didn't like it. Well, now I'm 60, and I'm having problems.
I have absolute **** gear. My professions are low, and my gold is low..
I got interested in PvP a bit more recently. I did a few BGs on my 19 druid, and it was a lot of fun. I began playing my hunter a bit more and I wanted to get him better gear..
It seemed and still seems like my best option is to go for the PvP gear, but since I've never played PvP on my hunter, I'm not so sure. I don't know if I have any sort of chance against a regular PvPer, and I don't want to make a complete and utter ass of myself in BGs as a level 60 first-time BGer.
So, what do you guys think I should do? (Poll attached, I hope.)

You cant expect to be the best without some time learning, and you will prob be targeted because of your poor gear. But just hang on and most important listen and learn.

Well, I've had time to do some WSG on my druid, and I saw that one item doesrequire the WSG marks, so I'll be doing that first. So, I have the basic idea for starting out, but I haven't PvPed on a hunter at all, or been into any type of BG above level 19.

learning by doing, as all the other players did.

Just jump in there, man. I suggest starting with some AV and simply following around the bulk of your side's forces. That should provide you with some experience with mass PvP. After you feel you've gotten enough practice there, move on to WSG and AB where more instruction and strategy are required.

You'll definitely be noticed in the BGs, but you need to learn how to do them on your 60.

It's only going to suck for as long as you put it off. The quicker you learn how to do it, the quicker you get in there and get some better gear, and do better at it too.

Just have some fun in the BGs, don't worry if people don't like you.

It's brilliant fun (aslong as you can stand annoying people)

as a hunter you have some opportunities to really help out in the bg's without depending on gear.

*Make sure you mana sting the casters.
*Make sure you agility sting the rogues.
*Make sure you wing clip or concussive shot the runners.
*If you have intimidate you can use it to stop opposing faction from capping a flag or from getting too close to one of your healer types.
*If you have a snake pet the poison spit interupts stealth
*If you have a monkey pet the AOE will interupt people trying to snatch the flags or cap a mine or turna GY.
*Traps Traps Traps - slow trap, freezey trap - assplodey trap YAY!!!!
*Get a nice piece of high ground and use it to help your team. Your range is huge so make it count.
*Slow people chasing your flag runner, slow them coming out of aid stations, drop traps to bust up stealths etc etc
