how does double honor work

Hi I'm new to BG and was wondering how does double honor work. It seems according to my PVP screen I am not getting double honor, or is it that the honor we get during this time is doubled at some later point? Although I do get +122 honor at the end though, that I don't remember getting couple of days ago.

The +112 @ the end is the bonus honour.

Nope. Means people actually have to stay to the end to get any bonus honour out of it.

Well, I think you mean the doubled part, since I seem to get the bonus (added to the H tab) at the time it occurs.

Yes this is true. Take AV for example. Everytime a bunker or gy caps, or the specific NPC's go down, you get your 14 honor points per objectives immediatly. You will only get the bonus honor (no double) if you stay through the end.

There are many times where it is better to take the 15 minute deserter penatly and lose the bonus honor then sit in a turtle AV for 1 hr+. It baffles me how after this long, many dont realize that win or lose, 15 minute games will give you more honor over an hour then a single hour long game.

This actually only encourages those in losing BG's to stay if that BG is part of the double honor weekend....which means 1/4 of the weekends (since there is an off weekend), and NO weekdays that are not part of the bonus weekend...
