I think I misunderstood this item. I thought it was a one time use thing- like a consumable. But I guess it is on a cooldown? Is it a trinket? How does it work? What is the cooldown on it? I see you can get one at lvl 19, which would make it a pretty sweet twink item.

Been such a long time since Ive used it but its on a cooldown and I think its like 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Its like a huge totem that costs way too much honor now for what its worth.

Still worth it for a twink though, as its not like your in any rush to get the HWL weapons
Awesome twink trinket. Between the standard and the Arena master trinket............I essentially have 3600+ hps

I assume they stack? How long do they last? Do you have to stay close to it, or can you drop it and run?
Can you picture running into grab the flag to face two twinks on D with 10 battlestandards?

AFAIK you can only have one per char. I doubt the effects stack if more than one person drops one in the same area, but I havent used them in a long time (pre patch), but I sincerely doubt it. Would be total overpower if u could.

I would think you can have more than one per char if you are dumb enough to spend that much honor on it, but it will have a global cooldown, so you could only use one at a time anyway. They may have made them idiot proof and only allow you to buy one, but I wouldn't bet on it.

As I recall, you drop them (no trinket, just item in backpack) and they give aura within certain feet radius. Dropping more of the same will only make the circle of effect larger, unless they are dropped right on top of each others.
So no use in dropping more of the same :)
Cooldown is 10-15, I believe, yes.
Stupid something like cooldown and charges doesn't say so, before you buy an item!!

ok- so a team of twinks could drop them in a line from one tunnel to the next- that would suck to see from the other side- 10 little totems in a line.

Yea, the best thing about these things is that they don't take up a trinket spot or anything. Just have it in your backpack, and drop when ready. I usually drop mine vs. Van in AV. It has a 40 foot range I believe...so everyone within that circumference gets bonus damage...which adds up when you have a lot of people.

Argh, I should have spent the gold before the patch.
Stormpike Standard only for AV, and the Alliance Standard for WSG/AB?
They are very useful. My Warlkocks server is the ultimate carebear server, theres no way to ever have PvP experiences outside the BGs, so I hang around in the middle of the ice lake thing in AV and intercept alliance running by. Its fun and I never get more than 3 on 1. Easy kills.
Another good use is on Vandarr, or on Defense in WSG or AB. That 10% is a lot of HP, enough for a few hits.
The cooldown is 5 minutes I think, haven't been on my 'Lock for a while, which was the only who has one as he got his before the new system came in.

I think it actually only affects your immediate group within the raid, and some of the battlestandards add hit points and some add 10% damage, but not both. My horde toon as hp standard and my alliance has the damage standard.

I have the damage standard myself. Man...that kinda sucks then if it only affects party members in the raid. If I'm in Vans room, and half of the guys in my party were on Defense...then only 2 maybe 3 people are actually getting any use of it? Ok...I officially change my mind about the usefulness of the standards if that is the case.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the case because I've seen 4 or more standards in the room, but nothing affecting me. Then I throw mine up and see the affect of mine. One time I saw two affecting me, so it must have been another group member along with mine.
