Hey, i run a AMD athlon XP 2600+ with 2.0gb of ram, with a Radeon 9250 128mb.

I get 20 FPS if im lucky. Is this a problem with my CPU or my Video card?

What addons do you use? Screen resolution etc etc.

Why's everybody coming in here obsessing about a stupid little number? Seriously, can you actually tell the difference if that little counter wasn't telling you so? Leave, I've seen people throw away fairly good money in the endless pursuit. Unlike Counterstrike or FPS games, the number means no advantage, unless you are visably lagging. It's fairly common to be dragging around 35-50 on even the best cards. It just doesn't do much.

20fps if he's lucky. That would mean to me that the majority of the time he's in the 15-20 fps range. One can certainly distinguish between 15-20 fps and 25-30 fps. If I was in that range I would want to see an improvement as well.

I shouldn't assume, but I'm going to assume that a visible lag was noticed which was what prompted the OP to check and see what his actual frame rate was.

The lag is very visible. If i didnt notice it, i would be asking this question. I run my resolution at 1024x768 refresh 60hz, with Titan panel, ct raid, ct mod. I have tried on 800x600 but the details become un focused and pixelated :S

Then I apologise. It's just after http://forums.worldofwar.net/showthread.php?t=383499&page=3, people with high grade parts having no visable problem but whining anyway for the sake of what a tiny digit measures out to them, I guess I'm a bit touchy.

It is the graphics card, it is quite dated now. 2001-2 era was its high point. You can probably get a very reasonable replacement that's perform leaps and bounds ahead for a minimal price, practically most current dedicated cards will do a better job now. A 7600GS would be comfortable, just make sure to get one in AGP format.

whew, nice save kalos, I thought it was pretty clear he was wasn't merely whining about a digit.

Yeah upgrade the video card.

No problem Kalos. I understand. Thanks for the feedback, and i shall do what you have suggested and get a hold of a 7600GS AGP.

Thanks everyone! I thoughti would have to face TBC with this ><
