Reinstall. Something clearly wasn't done correctly the first time.

im reinstalling now, but when I put in CD one it gave a warning message
"insufficient cpu speed"
I clicked install anyway. Im sure my cpu speed is above the required...will it crash again when I try to run the game??

Information is ammunition and all we got is empty clips kid.
Why don't you detail what exactly you've got under the hood of your comp, including brand names etc and maybe we can figure out what's going wrong. Just not enough info to make any reasonable hypotheses at this point. Might have a hunch, but I don't like playing hunches, prefer working with more info.

Ok, so it's not an overclocking issue.. which was my initial hunch.. Saves us from having to go through that stuff.. Hmmm...
Can't be an Admin right issue either, considering the cpu comment.. Do you have some type of program installed, which could throttle it back, when not in use or something?

No other programs are running when installation is in progress...
I dont know what kind of programs that might be an issue
It just finished reinstaling and when I clicked Play Now
This messege came up
Harware changed. Reload default settings?

:confused1: :confused1:
Ok, this is definitely going waaaay beyond anything that I know of computers.
You're getting comments about hardware after installing a new piece of software?? :ponder:
That makes about as much sense as Mahatma Ghandi having engaged in road rage, to use an equally absurd analogy.

Try going into Control Panel, opening Power Options, under Power Schemes there is a pop down menu. Scroll it to find "Home/Office Desk" and select it, press Apply. A warning should be made as your laptop's energy conservation techniques will be overridden, it shall eat up its battery when unplugged faster. This should, however, prevent you for seeing the "insufficient CPU speed" as one power saving method is to slow the CPU down, known as 'speed step' technology. WoW was getting the minimal, power saving on CPU frequency levels, rather than performance full speed which was necessary, and declaring the computer inadequite.
This should be one step towards nailing out the "hardware changed" errors, the CPU will no longer be adjusting all over the place to meet demands, but keep at full speed under the new setting. If it doesn't clear up, tell us. There are many causes, most notably bad driver installations or out of date drivers being utilised; but don't go down this avenue unless the new power settings fail to make any effect.
