in case you're unfamiliar with kazzak...he has a curse that he places on someone that heals him for 75k life if that person dies. Furthermore, he has another curse that drains 250 mana/sec from a character, and when that person runs out of mana, does a 4k AoE stemming from the inflicted character. His shadowbolts hit for 1000-1200. If you don't kill him within 3 minutes, he goes into crazy mode, where he starts shooting the bolts every second, on the second. Dead stormwind. It was said that the person who brought him there was banned, haha.

I don't know this for sure. When I was researching, it seemed to be said a few times.

If you think about it, it would make sense that he would get banned.

How so?

I don't see how kiting mobs across long distances could be a bannable offense.

It's probably not, but kiting them to one of the main cities, full of folks that can't fight back (far too low level) probably is. Kiting them to an area where there's only likely to be higher levels I would imagine is fine (WPL / EPL etc)

I would have thought it should be a warning at most. I bet if you asked all the people in Stormwind that day, they probably thought it was a blast!

1st : it can no longer be done, kazz resets if you reach the border of the blasted lands.

2nd : even high level chars could do nothing against him, since he goes into this frenzy mode after 3 minutes which makes him unkillable.

3d : i think it was consideret harassment. i'd call it funny abuse of game mechanics, but blizz had to get a GM to despawn him. so they probably didnt like it alot :)

4th : this vid is surely a year old ^^

Im truly well and fed up with game designers not thinking something through fully and when someone takes advantage of a game mechanic in an unforseen way going crazy and banning left, right and centre.

Abusing game mechanics is and should be a bannable offense. It is impossible to think everything through, and you'd be surprised what loopholes people can found to abuse game mechanics. I agree that in this case, a ban might have been out of place somewhat - on top of that it is only a rumour that the person was banned. But I understand to some extent why he would be banned, certainly if SW has become impossible to visit and if the only way they could stop it is having a GM physically despawn it. It might be funny, but it is griefing with a big G.

In any case, that's why the rule exists about abusing game mechanics: not everything can be foreseen, that is just impossible.

No, actually it doesn't, it should be programmed then that such things can't happen.

Even lore-wise it's a great idea to lure a World-Boss into an enemy capital to have it destroyed !
