Okay...all you theorycrafters...let's hear it. Undoubtedly, you've thought of what might be an interesting upgrade to your --insert class here--. I challenge you to come up with a thoughtful, realistic talent. If you care to go into more detail, explain where it it would be, and in what tree...or what it might lead to, etc.
Because I've been playing my priest the longest, I'd like to have a go at him.
Branching off of improved inner fire, and requiring 3 points in it...I'd have:
Inner strength:
0/1
instant
100 Mana
successful melee attacks against you have a 20% chance to petrify the attacker, turning them to stone for 8 seconds. They may not attack, and physical damage to them is reduced to 0. This effect will last for 15 seconds. Cooldown: 5 min.
(Side note...this was much harder than I expected. I really wanted to give a passive effect to priests' melee damage, as the idea of a discipline priest attacking with a staff seems cool.)

mine would be instants from your weps
like whirlwind axe
instant
cooldown 10 mins
after every 2 crits in a row a tornado comes out and hits everyone around you (like cleave) for both crits added together so if you had a crit lets say 850 then 660 boom your instant everyone gets hit for 1510 how awesome would that be
or how bout whirlwind warhammer
cooldown15mins
put it up click on it
and instantly hit enemy for 1000 dmg
whirlwind sword
cooldown 1min
click on it
go to your kitchen stab yourself seven times with a knife for picking the one that shouldnt be there anyway lol..............

im a pally so...
Crusader Strike
276 mana 5 yard range
Instant Cast 6 second cooldown
An instant strike that causes weapon damage plus 40% of your spell damage and refreshes all judgments on the target.
sadly this is already nerfed, so heres a new holy talent that might actually be worth getting:
Holy Hand Grenade
300 Mana 20 yard range
Instant Cast 20 second cooldown
Throw a Holy Hand Grenage that deals 350-500 Holy damage to all enemies in a 10 yard radius, and 350-500 healing to all allys in a 10 yard radius.

Maybe change the warrior's Iron Will talent to be:
Iron Will
0/5
Reduces the duration of all stun and charm effects on you by 10/20/30/40/50%.
Replacement for the warlock 41 pt demonology talent:
Demonic Pact
0 mana, 2 min cooldown
0/1
While having your Imp active, Demonic Pact becomes Demonic Frenzy: increases your attack and casting speed by 30% for 15 seconds.
While having your Voidwalker active, Demonic Pact becomes Consume Shadows: channel heals you of 100% of your health over 15 seconds.
While having your Succubus active, Demonic Pact becomes Invisibility: a 15 second invisibility spell.
While having your Felhunter active, Demonic Pact becomes Mana Feed: completely absorbs the next damaging spell cast against you within 15 seconds, and allows you to gain 50% of the spell's damage as mana.

cat/bear parry would be awesome.
i'd like feral charge to work in cat form or somekind of long CD vanish ability
or even a slice and dice type cat ability or evasion . too many ideas

warlock talent:
noob cannon(thanks css! lol)
0/1
reduces that persons health to 50%, and takes 25% of ur health away over time
cost 1k mana
15 min cooldown
only be used agenst non npc's
only 1 warlock can cast this on 1 target at a time
ex: 2 warlocks cant cast noob cannon on the same target untill the effect wears off
lol i know this sounds liek making locks ever better, but still it would be cool
noob cannon,deathcoil,fear,DoT's = pwnd mofo

Improved Slowfall (for mages)
Allows you to turn as you fall instead of going in a straight line forward and downward.

but seriously, my 41 point talent in the prot tree on my warrior is...well, lame. it doesnt cost alot of rage (12) but it only does half wep dmg, and can only be used with a 1h wep. long story short? i hit some hunter in AB with it for like 75 dmg. i go from mortal strike hits for 600 non crit to 75? for a 41 point talent it really should be something like this:

Requires One-Handed Melee Weapon
An instant weapon atack that causes 100% of weapon
damage plus 30 and additional threat for each application
of Sunder Armor on the target. In addition, this effect will

Trainable Ranks:
Rank 2: +45 Damage
Rank 3: +60 Damage
this would at least be usuable. im still trying to figure out how im going to pvp as prot
