So, I've been playing this game for about 2 weeks now, and have been on here for about 2 days. I was just wondering if there is any sticky anywhere that is just for beginners. I get some of the stuff that people talk about, but there's other stuff that i don't. Just curious. Also, while I'm on here I thought I'd ask. I was playing earlier and all of a sudden I noticed that I couldn't pick up any loot. The cursor appeared after killing things, but never turned gold when I got close to the kill. Thanks in advance for the help!

Probably because it would be a very, very, very long sticky and almost impossible to find the little bits that would help you. If you ask your questions a couple at a time here (appropriate section helps. :-)), we can help with the things that you have a problem with. Do a search first to make sure it hasn't already been answered a thousand times before. :-)
I've never had that problem. No gold even if you stand right in the middle of the corpse? Do the corpses have the loot-sparkle? Does relogging help?
What mobs, or all mobs? Were you in a group?

Happens sometimes. Means that your connection with the server isn't completely synched and it becomes unable to give the command for looting.

Two options really.. Move back, away from the dead mob, until the pointer stops looking like some gears. And then reapproch. Sometimes, because of the movement etc, you get resynched.

Other times, it requires you to log out and then back in for it to be resolved. Nothing much you can do about it, beyond this, because it's an issue with blizzard's servers, and it's been around at least since the US Open Beta time.

Same issue, causes you at times to remain in crouch/looting pose and if you then try to walk away you end up floating around in said pose. Jumping tends to fix that issue..
