When BC comes out, will those that get BC have to join a new realm? Will existing realms just be split between characters who can go to 70 and those that can't?
I think I made a huge mistake...I rerolled on darrowmere, thinking "this way, when BC comes out, the disparity between gear won't be so great (because the realm woudln't have existed that long)." However, if characters from all different servers join BC servers, the mix will still leave me behind, and I'll want to reroll and a brand new BC server. Anyone know?

Actually, I believe most of the software is already in place on existing servers...It just will not allow you to access it unless you have BC installed and your account is converted.
Thus, the people you've been playing with are likely to be the ones you continue to play with.

Have a look at your world map. You can see the Exodar and other locations there already.

It's basic, you add a key for Burning Crusade to your account, this upgrades your account so you have more access rights. The Dark Portal will require you to have upgraded your account, if you haven't it just won't let you pass, if you have it'll let you through into Outland.
With the Before the Storm patch, I believe most things are ready, all that is required is Blizz to enable the content server side on the 16th.

And some of the items won't be available to you, as they will have level-requirements above 60.
Definitely no BC-only servers. The amount of toon-shuffling would be server-breaking as would the chaos of that many people trying to recreate their guilds. There are official notes on the subject somewhere - probably linked from the launcher or main-page of the official sites.

Yes, as with most products if you wish to upgrade each copy you need to purchase a separate expansion for it.

Does anyone know if we will need to copies of BC if we got 2 different account? :undecided:
i got this from W.o.W BC FAQ website .........
Will we have to pay any more than the current monthly fee for the expansion?
No. While you will need to purchase the expansion in order to upgrade, you will continue to have the same subscription options available to you.
How many copies of the expansion will be needed for players with multiple accounts?
You will need one copy of the expansion for every World of Warcraft account that you wish to upgrade.
Do you need to own the expansion to play with friends who have it?
There will be many aspects of the expansion that are available to all players. However, in order to experience certain content, such as Outland, or be able to play as one of the new races, players will have to purchase the expansion.
What content will be restricted to those without the expansion?
There will be a number of features in The Burning Crusade that will only be available to expansion owners. To name a few: the two new races, the ten new levels of experience (level 60-70), all of the new zones, and the new profession Jewelcrafting.
Will you offer a downloadable option for The Burning Crusade or must you continue to purchase it in stores?
It's very possible that we will allow for a downloadable Burning Crusade at some point in the future, but at this time nothing is definite.
Will there be a Collector's Edition of The Burning Crusade?
Yes, there will be a Collector's Edition package available. For more details on what's included, see our official Collector's Edition page.
Will there eventually be a "combo pack" offered where both the original game and expansion (with the appropriate CD Keys) be offered?
We have no plans to do so at this time, however, it's very possible at some point in the future.
Will the realms be upgraded in time to handle the new surge of players brought about by the expansion?
Yes, as a matter of fact retrofit hardware upgrades designed to improve stability and performance for all World of Warcraft realms will be completed by the time the expansion set ships.

I wouldn't be surprised if the content is enabled already, and we just don't know it. After all, we can't access it because our accounts aren't BC enabled.
