My opinion..

Race - Tauren or Undead ...maybe orc
Class - Depends on what you like

It's all up to you. Try everything out and see what works for you best and what you enjoy the most. Or just let us know what you like in a character :) Good luck.

Undead Warlock is the most badass class in the game.

Undead Warlock is the most badass class in the game.

True, but if you roll a warlock as your first char you will more than likely quit before you hit 40 and roll another class. Warlock is not really a newbie class, but it isn't like anyone can tell you what to play. Play whatever you want.

Whichever combination that appeals to you. The learning-curve is nice and shallow, so just try and see. You can have up to 50 toons per account, so if you decide that your first impression was wrong, or it doesn't play the way you expected, just make another toon and keep going. "Easy" depends on what you like and what you have an aptitude for, there isn't a "one-class fits all". There are also no wrong combinations. Nothing that will hopelessly gimp you.

One Druid fits all !!

I disagree with that Wintrow. You need to like the versatility and have a knack to play a Druid well. Note *play well*. Some don't like that they're not considered top dog at anything, some don't like carrying three sets of kit and "constantly" needing to shift role and items. Some think Druids are slow and boring. Druids are amazing at being able to fill all roles in sequence, but not all players are suited to, or happy with, the class. So the Druid an fit in all situations and roles, but not everyone can fit the Druid playstyle without losing the fun.

The most recommended classes are Druids and Shamans, but that's only because so many people come here wanting a class that can basically do everything.

In reality, there is no bad class. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, it depends what you want from the game.

Pally is a good starting class because of the healing/high armor but really any class is good to start just try to grow with your character any character can get difficult (especially druid) Personally I'm a mage and I thought starting out was far easier that a warrior but whatever
