Some guild mates and I got bored between BG's and decided to go farm for the crusader enchant for a while. It was Me, Mage, Rogue, level 56 shadow-specced priest.

We decided to run scholo and when they said "ok let's get a tank" I said "Nah just have my felguard MT" So we were a 4 man group with no tank except the fel guard.

It turns out the felguard can't really hold aggro that well if the mob he is tanking is getting whaled on by a rogue, warlock, and mage. I imagine he might do a little better if you give him a bit of time to build aggro, and if the group had worse gear. But then that might tax the healers. He functions perfectly well as an off-tank though.

Anyway it still turned out to be the smoothest scholo ever, but I think that had more to do with the fact that we are 3 high-DPS classes full of mixed PVP/ZG epics.

It was just a lot of fun to get away from the traditional "Mark all targets, sap, sheep, seduce, off tank" routine and just go "Ok send the felguard in there and then nuke everything down as fast as you can."

Had the same experience the other night.

1 Hunter, 1 Pally, 1 Warlock and 1 Priest.

The pally wasn't specced to Tank. The pet (a ZG bat) kept aggro on everything it tanked, to top it off, we had the felguard as OT, and it was litterally the smoothest run I've ever done. Same type of gear, PVP epics and Tier 1.

I didn't know that the ZG Bat could out Threat a Felguard, but now I kn0w! Although out-damage? Felguard still owned in dmg... but screech+growl is amazing for threat.

Hmmm, You normally mark targets and all that when you run scholo. Usually we just half pay attention and just run through everything quick.
